Seriously Mark, thank you for all the work you put into this channel. I can't thank you enough. You are like my teacher I have never met. Your advice and experience have been paramount in my films I'm currently shooting. Your films have shown me what I want as a creator, to show authentic stories in an artistic way to get people to care about a subject. There is nothing quite so powerful to me as telling stories through films. I'm so thankful I stuck with this passion. In this video you said something I really needed to hear and sparked an idea that will make my film better. Thank you so much man. Cheers!

I just got back from an interview shoot and I'm so glad I watched "How to make people comfortable on camera for interviews." the night before I set off on my trip. Excited about your new workshop Mark! So refreshing to see someone like you putting so much work in true filmmaking & directing and not another "silly" channel about comparing gear... or making "coffee" or openning boxes with new knives...😂 (you know what I mean...). Couple of questions, hope you don't mind me asking... 1-The monitor you have on your Sony camera... is it a monitor or also a recorder, and which one you use...? 2- If I want a more "technical "oriented workshop, which one would you think is the better choice, your "docu workshop" or this new one coming up "Director's. workshop...). Thank you! cheers! (I am more into documentaries: outdoor, nature...etc... So I am always looking for new things to learn at thigh/professional/Technical level specially if I will be either 'solo" or with a small crew! ;)
@markbone
@markbone 2 жыл бұрын
1. Monitor is not a recorder. 2. In terms of technical can you expand? You looking for camera tips and gear related?
@wildpatagoniafilms16

@@markbone hey thanks for your answer... you just made the video of the menu changes on the FX3 Sony... and that is what I mean: excellent detailed video on technical aspects ... not exactly gear oriented, but going deep in detail about technical points ... I think as you stated many times, knowing the gear one uses is super important, and though is true brands are different... I think there are universal concepts that apply to any brand/camera: how to read scopes... what is GenLock/Time code how to and when to use it... etc. Sorry I was not more specific before. ;) Also... I received a message from @Mark_Bone1 regarding the FX3 giveaway... is this from you or a BOTT? ;) cheers !
