Panthers D-line easily one of the most underrated units in football. Freaking Burns, Derick Brown, Reddick, Matos, Dayvion Nixon, Fox. The amount of talent is palpable.

For a DT his size stats is the last thing you look for like you said, you want him there mostly to eat blocks and take double teams so other guys can rack up the stats. Thats a true BIG DT purpose.

Wow thanks for showing love to DB. He was really one of the underrated defensive rooks last season, largely because of Chinn on his own team. I know you stated that pass rushing is more fun to cover but his value really came in the run D and that’s what we expected from him so hopefully he continues to progress against the pass though, that will just be icing on the cake. Keep in mind he does all this usually getting doubled

We caught so much heat for picking him over Simmons last season. I even thought it was a mistake at the time. I’m glad I wasn’t even close to being right. Our D-line has a bright future with DB

Went to Lanier with him he was known as the gentle giant but a beast on the field. Great guy grew up with him even since 6th grade

I like both him & Roy on that line. They both pop off the screen but at times.

he balled out towards the end of the season. id say it was more than "flashes" just took him a bit to get there.

Nice! I watched this muted because I wanted a unbiased look. I had a few question marks about him coming into the league but it’s been answered. I’m seeing more tenacity and determination. Really refining his footwork and trunk control. Even a double move from the 1 tech. I’m impressed. If and again, IF, he keeps his weight in check , I really see long term potential and maybe even pro bowl level play out of him in the future. Oddly enough, he wasn’t doubled a lot in these clips. I still wanna see how he deals with that mentally more than physically. If he can’t make the play and is simply helping others do so, does his tenacity and aggression stay at that level?

We got multiple DT’s this year for an upgrade, so I think he will do even better as he won’t be doubled as much possibly, depends on how we use our people. Maybe he will get more rest, idk how it works

Brown had a great rookie year. He didn’t get a lot of sacks but he got a lot of pressures and did things that didn’t show up in the box score.
