This video is a time capsule reflecting film technology in 1999. Now I understand - a bit - how sound restoration is done. I well remember how “wavy” music sounded from old films until the 2000 or more recently. I realize that the patriotic music for this film has that same shimmering, wavy sound…. Ty!

Are films being digitized now for archival purposes?

We still frequently digitize films related to Delaware history like the videos we have on this channel, but this 20 minute documentary is a special addition as it can help show the public how they digitized films back then, and how similar the process can be to what we still do today.
