Directed and co-produced by Stephen La Riviere and hosted by Lady Penelope and Parker themselves, 'Filmed in Supermarionation' is a screen adaptation of his book of the same name and features a wealth of previously unseen archive footage, brand new interviews with the surviving casts and crews and clips from the shows themselves. A highlight of the film are ingenious and accurate recreations of the pioneering techniques used in the productions.

Fantastic! I've been waiting for a documentary that used new footage and interviews other than the stock everyone else uses!

it's basically just a documentary not a movie with actors and a story, so there isn't really anything to spoil.

wow ! looks like they put some real effort into this film. Great to see all the production footage I have never seen before. Hopefully we will get to see this here in California on the Big Screen.

YES! YES! And more YES! Gerry Anderson's creations, particularity Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet are huge inspirations to me as a filmmaker :D

To all you CGI fans - this is how it should be done - craftsmanship - getting wet - and smoke everywhere. Can't wait to see this. I'm pretty sure Gerry and his team could have made a witty and intelligent set of Transformer films instead of the rubbish Hollywood put out.

thunderbirds are go, due out next year , pukeo productions and weta have done it in CGI which I'm a little concerned about. it will be for tv as ITV are backing the show. the full story is in the Monday Oct 6th NZ Herald, who ever wrote it called them puppets, will they never learn marionettes'

Hi I'm in New Zealand and the rumour is Peter (the hobbit) Jackson is going to redo thunderbirds in supermarionation with the weta workshop doing the special effects, anybody else heard this ?

Weta is working on a new Thunderbirds TV show that's supposed to come out in 2015. Not sure about Peter Jackson though, I would imagine he would be too busy to commit to it.

No Where Man peachcottage Correct about Weta, and seems unlikely Peter Jackson would be involved except I think he could have a producer credit for it if he is involved with the financing of the show? What you probably don't know though is that the voice for Parker is being done by... David Graham!!!! (the original!) Or at least that was what was planned when I met him at Londonfilmandcomiccon in July 2013. From memory, when I met him he said it was planned that they would make something like 26 episodes to be shown across a calendar year. He was quite excited about it and really keen to tell everyone about it when I met him. IMDB still shows him as the voice for Parker for the pilot, although they don't mention any other episodes (but IMDB is NOT the accurate encyclopedia that people think it is so hopefully that still goes :) ) . However, as I say my info is from July 2013 so not up to date.

I was a fan Thunderbirds (the special miniature, vehicle design, premise and of course the Derek "let's blow S!#T up" Meddings) Stingray, Captain Scarlet & Terrahawks but sorry always HATED, hated the whole puppet thing, which ruined the shows for me (Captain Scarlet I could tolerate most though). The 2004 Thunderbirds movie could had so much potential but wasted, looking forward to the revamp though.
