The bhajan "Insaaf Ka Mandir" is par excellence. One of the best bhajans ever created. Superbly rendered by Mohammed Rafi. The way he carries the long notes is unbelievable...no one before or since has been able to sing like that. "Hai pas tere jiski amanat use de de Nirdhan bhi hai insaan muhabbat use de de" unbelievable composition and singing.

I definitely loved the movie as i am a big fan of madhubala and dilip kumar.Their chemistry was magical and cannot be compared with any other couple. I think Amar lost his senses when he cheated on Anju. If you watch that scene then sonia didn't refuse to be with him.she was already in love with him.Maybe she was not prepared and was totally confused and shocked. So the main victim is Anju as well as Hero of the story. Being cheated by your fiance and without making him feel guilty just encourage him to do the right thing. I loved the movie but the character played by Madhubala with such an innocence and elegance she deserved an award. The most underrated performance of her.

I watched movie 'AMAAR' in Nairobi 1977. Beautiful/ageless, songs indeed. It is said that the movie didn't make immediate business as was expected. Could any film buff of old classics offer comments?
