Looks like a nice head - will look at pricing. Minor critique on the video would be losing the auto focus or using a larger depth of field - was a bit distracting as the camera was hunting for a subject as you were describing another function. Also be interested in a link to the shoot you were shooting ;) Thanks

Great video! I bought the Manfroto fluid head 608 recently. Its a beast: havy, durable, and goes butterly smooth, especially with heavy tele lens (a Sigma sports 120-300mm f2.8 on my S1H). BTW: what kind of lens adapter are you using in your video? It appears to have some lever at the left side - is this a variable ND-filter?

Manfrotto N8. I was hoping that he'd compare the N8 vs the 608. The N8 was only on the market for 2 years. So I'm not sure if it had some sort of fatal flaws that made them want to discontinue that model and update it, or if it was more just rebranding the model numbering system to fit in more with the rest of their lineup. It's hard to even see any external physical changes based on photos. But I may not be eagle eyed enough.

Just found this: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m9iYpMioq9_QoZs.html Manfrotto rep actually explains the differences in detail. Not sure if KZfaq will allow linking in comments. But it's a Cinema5D video if that helps you find it. I guess search for Cinema5D and Manfrotto 608. And also possibly "NAB".
