4 years later and we received a happy ending. Not even we got Vol. 3 directed by Gunn, we got the movie which I believe happened to be the best Marvel movie after Infinity War and Endgame.

I always took the use of "The Chain" during the final fight to mean that Quill was doing two things: 1) Cutting the chain of love to an abusive, manipulative father. 2) Choosing to go with the love of his "family" in the Guardians of the Galaxy.

I'm confused as to how they managed to key out Yondu on a blue screen. I know it's an interior shot, but I still feel like green screen would've been better.

I was thinking the same thing. They did it with the first one too (putting the green chick on a green screen). Best answer I can come up with is that they're using higher end cameras with a 4:4:4 sampling ratio, so it's much easier to distinctly discern between different shades of blue.

Gauge Wiley I suppose so. The dynamic range isn't caught on the behind the scenes cameras or displayed in the raw sensor data on our screens so that makes sense. The end product looks fine so what do I know lol

August Break I haven't made it to the part of the video where they actually show it yet, but my guess is if the scene had a lot of reflective material in it, they would've wanted a blue screen because it shows up less in reflections.

i just have to say i really, really liked how peter wasn't "rewarded" with gamora at the end. i thought for sure they were gonna cram in a quick shot at the end in which they kiss or something, but no - instead peter was rewarded with a mature sense of self and responsibility and, in a freudian sense, after loosing both of his father figures finally be able to grow up. had this been any other film the male lead would most certainly win the lady-trophy after hours of nagging. i'm so glad this wasn't one of those films. (although i'm sure they'll eventually hook up at some point)

They spent two movies slowly building the romance until Gamora finally admits to her feelings for Quill, then BOOM, Infinity War! I kinda felt cheated of those sweet moments of them becoming an actual couple. Woulda been better if they made a GOTG 3 before.

I had no idea that score music would play sometimes for the actors to help provide a more emotional performance. I also did not realize that there would be stand in figures for baby Groot or Rocket sometimes.

Panags Airsoft because the blue characters have very simple head/hair lines, so it's a lot easier to manually cut out compared to gamoras hair

both are bold = easy to mask, forest is full of green leaves, blue screen is easier to key with certain footage type. light conditions etc. And for all people who think it is possible with high quality footage to separate blue from blue - you are simple wrong, it all masked, if you know how properly mask - it is not so hard.
