Just to add up, if you happen to do all your footage in a studio(or whatever location you are using) you can use rotoscoping techniques to just mask out the last few frames and then just apply to what the tutorial says. Just a quick note. Great tutorial by the way :D

Dude, you are an inspiration. I'm even making my version of the secret room door from the Flash TV series, based on your tutorial, but it's more of a slide door than a Flash door. If I had a green screen wall, I'd be abusing the fuck outta this Ant-Man effect.

Can you do the Human Torch effect? This could be hard but all the tutorials out there are just fire hands and a full body effect would be not really done before and I'm pretty sure everybody would love it.

Composite 2.0 there's a reason for that, a full human torch requires a rigged 3D model of the person as reference for the emitter, you have to match the actors movements exactly with model for it to look good.

Very clever. Do you know about alt replacing? After you set up the animation for the first still you could have just duplicated and offset it 5 times (or whatever the number was) and then hit alt and dragged the other photoshop files to replace them. It would have saved you a little bit of tedious work.

2 questions, what camera did you shoot this with? (just curious because the live action footage looked pretty flat. BMPCC or Sony maybe.) - and I noticed you had an ipad at the beginning for the greensreen footage. Was that to check even lighting? If so, what app did you use? Thanks in advance. I shot this on the Panasonic GH4 in the Cinelike V mode. The iPad has the Panasonic image app which allows me to control the camera via wifi :)

James Cole That Ant-Man is 100% CGI. it is possible to do, and involves the same technique, you just need to shoot a few individual parts on the green screen and stitch them together.
