I was just rewatching some of the old reaction videos and when I scrolled all the way to the bottom I found this haha, so nice to see you upload again man!

Lilith is made to be a sympathetic villain. She means well and she's hurting rightfully, but her methods are why we need to stop her. Even in her death she basically stays solid on her stance and that it was to help us.

glad to see you back dropping another banger. such a good cinematic to pair with such a deep lore/story. and the voice acting, especially of Lilith was so good. "Silence... is their judgement" is such a powerful line and delivered so well too. Also they did a cool job representing Inarius when he died. Since angels in this lore are created by the crystal spire (basically an angelic tuning fork) and the angels are made purely of light and sound, the way his armor kind of melted away felt pretty cool too.

Couple lore tidbits: The Eternal Conflict, angels vs demons had been going on for.. well, an eternity. Some were tired of the war, on both sides, so Inarius and Lilith decided to make another place using the World Stone (which got shattered during Diablo 2) called Sanctuary and together had a son Rathma and created the rest of humanity with it. Eventaully the angels and demons found out. The angels were disgusted and cast Inarius out, the demons saw it as another place to conquer. Some angels decided to help humanity like Tyreal from Diablo 3, but most of them left Sanctuary alone to fend for itself. Inarius believes that he will be welcomed back to heaven if he kills Lilith, and has twisted a prophecys truth about it to be about him (A spear of light will strike down Lilith in the hells)

Honestly, regarding diablo 4, even the in game cutscenes are quite good. Not as spectacular as this one, but they are great, there are some cool shots of Lilith even in the in game format, especially when you first see her in front of a hellish red background.

Personally, throughout the campaign of D4.... Lilith may use extreme measures, but.... she's neither wrong nor is she the most hostile figure around. Sure, a lot of her followers are beyond sane... but truthfully Inarius' followers aren't any better. Their believe to be righteous makes them actually worse. So.... I personally would have sided with Lilith if I would've gotten the choice. Yes, we players chose neither side and fought both, but honestly, with the whole history of Inarius and Lilith... Lilith actually cares for the humans. It may be in her own way, but she actually cares and actually wants to fight off Heaven AND Hell. Ironically, the demon is the lesser evil of this strange pair.

Inarius (the Angel) and Lilith created Sanctuary, the world of the mortals, and Humans are descending from the Nephelems, who are hybrids of Angels and Demons. Inarius and Lilith's son was Rathma, founder of the Necromancers, who wanted Balanced between the Heavens and Hells, his Necromancers still defendjng that Balance.

if you want to know what happened to inarius at the end, taking the wings off an angel makes them mortal (not the same as being human in the diablo universe). it doesn't mean anything special, it's just vindicative because inarius views humanity as beneath him, holding a superior god complex (which seems to be very mellowed out in diablo 4), so forcing him into being a mortal is likely worse than death for him, as angels and demons don't actually die, but there is on caveat lots of speculation out there as to what happens when archangels die (as inarius is one of them). it is known angels that die are reborn as new angels, like reincarnation basically. for demons, it is known, at the very least, that the evils of hell just come back as themselves when they die. the only recorded history of an archangel dying in the diablo universe that we know of is tyrael's death in the second game, who was reborn as himself. i'm willing to believe archangels also do not undergo the reincarnation process and are simply reborn as themselves, since tyrael was reborn as himself. also, inarius would have had to have been reborn as himself at one point, as he was forced into being a mortal in the past and there is no evidence suggesting an angel made mortal can become an angel again naturally over time. but that's diablo 4 plot holes and not relevant to the specific events of the cinematic. it is unknown, however, what happens to archangels when they die as mortal. i think it would be cool if blizzard made them undergo the reincarnation process. otherwise when malthael comes back he's just going to be the angel of death again (he was made mortal briefly when taking the black soulstone upon himself). same with inarius being as he is. and it gives true meaning to tyrael's sacrifice of his angelhood.

My problem with the angel fights in Diablo is that they make them look so badass and strong at the start, only for them to get bodied by a demon in a matter of seconds. Angels are suposed to be the peak of living beings and a hard counter to demons. Meanwhile Imperius in D3 and Inarius in D4 get disrespected and destroyed in 2 seconds, I want to see a big, long battle with epic light/divine powers being used. But I guess that's too much

Inarius killed his on son.

One thing that is important to know is Angels and Demons die constantly in the Eternal Conflict. Inarius is an archangel Lilith is the daughter of one of the Lords of hell. If killed they will eventually reform in the High Heavens or Hell given enough time.

they dont actually die, their spirit lives but it needs lots of time to heal and rebirth. The issue is, Inarius may turn hellish in the later on progress of the story/expansions, he also lost his wings. He may take the throne from Diablo or something similar. (she said : Your place is in Hell)... so its another bad evil hell guy now.

Regardless of his current status, Inarius is still and Arch-Angel. More powerfull than Tyreal before he threw himself down. Inarius was in Hell for a record time and didn't cease to be an Angel. Yeah, he may have been corrupted a little though. Hatred a little.

It more or less was the last cinematic of the game. Its the last true cinematic atleast, there are some smaller ones that are basicly irrelevant. While i love the cinematic it also pissed me off to no end cause it felt SO BAD to have seen half the last cinematic of the game like a year before its release :&

Unfortunately, Blizzard kill everything they touch. Including Blizzard North. Breaks the whole logic of the story of the original Diablo. There was logic: Angels represent order, and demons represent chaos. This is the nature of each of them. Only people were the secret ingredient, because they were the only ones who had the freedom of choice, could be both supporters of order and followers of chaos. The conflict between the Angekles and the Demons was about who would win over the people to their side. The story of Inarius and Lilith breaks the logic, because it turns out that Angels and Demons also have freedom of choice, and if so, then the struggle for people for each of them does not make sense.

Its a shame the only good work blizzard still does these days is their cinematics :( EPIC... for a turd of a game
