That conversation with Richie tells us so much about him. He's not necessarily against the restaurant changing, he just doesn't wanna be forgotten or left behind.

It’s also relatable with grieving. I have felt stuck in my grief and sadness yet the world moves on. It moves fast. And change can trigger feelings of being left behind. You have to push yourself to move forward and it’s hard.

I think Richie getting arrested and possibly facing jail time for manslaughter and Carmy using the restaurant's parachute was a huge wakeup call for him. And James, you will lose count for how many times you say: "Let's go, Richie!"

It’s pretty obvious how they earned best ensemble. You might like The Iron Claw. It’s a very good movie.

4:37 to 5:07 - I replayed this a couple of times, then decided to turn it into an audio file. I’ve been grinding Monday to Friday commutes and starting my days off angry, rushed, or both for so long now that all the joy of waking up has been flushed out of my system. Something about that piano, your voice, and the message being conveyed really hit me dude. I’m going to listen to this in my car on Monday before I leave for work and I know it’ll help. Always appreciated your videos before, but this was a special moment for me. Cheers from Canada 🍁

Several years ago I had to take an hour-long bus ride to get to school every day. It changed my life because of all of the people I saw and how much time I had to think about the things that were bothering me. This was before smart phones so I didn't have one to distract myself. All I could do was sit and think.

I have loved Oliver Platt since seeing him as a kid in "Executive Decision". He's good in every role he's been in and glad he's still acting.

He just makes everything better. I think I first saw him in Flatliners. And he’s just consistently put in such great work whether dramatic or comedic. He was fantastic in a unseen series Huff and in the Big C

I’ve never had it before where a character I absolutely hated in episode 1 becomes my absolute favourite by the end of the second season, but Ritchie did that for me. Everyone has such an arc in this series but him most of all I think. Really looking forward to the remaining reactions

The flashback episode is one of the best episodes of a show I've ever seen. Jamie Lee Curtis deserved some kind of award for that one.

I know that you’re past this episode by a bit in Patreon, but the character development this season is what makes the show so great. People I totally hated at the start of the first season turn out so great, I know you’re gonna love it. The soundtrack is also really strong as a framing device, and not just the music. The alarm when they’re asking for money as a background tension builder is a type of device this show uses so well. Ready for the ride, let it rip.

I think season 1 was really good. But season 2 really cemented how great it really is. I think season 1 set up so many good characteristics of all the aspects and season 2 continued that, built on it and also had a lot more attention to detail. Mentioning characters that are important but aren’t known yet (uncle Lee), little details that tell us more about people’s past (carmys history with all the different chefs around the world). And it’s all done without making the audience feel stupid. Some shows make things like that so obvious as if audiences can’t pick up on those details but the bear really lets the audience be smart and pay attention.

Richie is my favorite character, followed by Jimmy. They do go deeper into Richie this season, episode 7 specifically. And it is BY FAR the best episode of the entire show. Just wait.
