I'll never forget watching this when it was released, and the whole theater going silent when Caesar yelled, "NO!!!" for the first time. Then hearing everyone immediately cheer once he hits Dodge and starts releasing the apes. It was quite the experience. I think this is an underrated and really impactful trilogy. 👏👏👏

Some KZfaq reactors are intelligent enough to be able to do a hour and 15-minute movie reaction on KZfaq that impresses me a hell of a lot more than a 30-minute reaction to a two-hour movie. Even more impressing are the individuals that do a two-part movie reaction each part being at least 45 to 55 minutes long and these are on KZfaq.

You might have cut it for time or missed it, but I'll never forget the scene of Will's neighbor inadvertently spreading the disease through the flight routes. Especially the credit sequence showing it spread across the globe. It's quite the experience rewatching that scene 9 years later.

This was the epitome of "turning lemons into lemonade." He goes from hitting rock bottom to "I'm gonna take over this whole block, and it'll be like taking candy from a baby." As much as I love Gollum, I think Ceasar might just be Andy Serkis's best performance. He is absolutely phenomenal in these movies. I just watched these about a month ago, and man, they're so good. As far as big budget movies from the 2010s go, I feel like this Apes trilogy gets criminally overlooked and underappreciated for how good they really are.

This was one of the movies I was pleasantly surprised by when it came out. I honestly expected a run of the mill remake cash grab, but it was actually really, really engaging. This film alone made me an advocate for a mo-cap Oscar category if they aren’t going to give proper attention to the acting Serkis and others do.

Saw this with my brother and I was amazed on how perfect this movie was! It shows you the true origin of the Planet Of The Apes saga. There's a clever Easter egg in the film where it states that the ship, ICARUS, having launched from Earth on its way to Mars, ends up disappearing without a trace.

I recently discovered that the scene of Caesar yelling "NO" was inspired by a monologue from the original Planet of the Apes trilogy. A monkey named Cornelius explains to humans how apes became the dominant race. He says that the monkeys started to learn from the humans and understood that they were being abused, that's when one of the monkeys received the order from a human and he simply said "No".

Whats beautifully done well is how they differentiate Caesars life experience compared to basically almost every other ape. For example, those other apes might have been smart, but on the bridge they wouldn’t have known a ambush was waiting for them because they don’t necessarily know how the police operate. With Caesar however, he was raised as a human. Therefor knowing how they operate in certain situations. Its also cool how every ape follows him without question. Those apes at the zoo weren’t necessarily smart because Caesar didn’t use the gas on them but somehow they still followed him because in nature every pack has an alpha, and with Caesars actions and presence they determined that Caesar was the leader which in turn got them to follow him.

It took keepers a while to figure out how he was doing it. I really enjoy this series and I love that they did a throwback to the original Charleton Heston version with the "damn dirty ape" comment.
