Jashn-e-Rekhta, a 2-Day grand Urdu Festival celebrated by Rekhta Foundation (www.rekhta.org) on March 14th and 15th at India International Centre, Delhi.
For two mesmeric days, some of the Urdu’s finest poets, authors and artists came together to bring alive Urdu’s lyrical beauty and resonating eloquence through live performances, panel discussions and interactive sessions.

Sad that so few are watching this. Muzaffar Ali talked about Rahi Masoon Raza. This great poet and writer (Raza) also wrote the script of Mahabharata (the older version).

sadly today's cinema is all about western style or western language....where is Indian cinema ....Sadly the Indian cinema has died long time ago

Brother the problem we have indulge our self too much into western style and sadly in our society if some one speaks in any local language he is considered to be illetrate uneducated and list goes on.So how can we expect the people to speak and understand these languages?

Urdu language is in DNA of subcontinent, nothing can stop the growth of the isqia language. Nothing to do with few fanatics of hindutva.

I am a Urdu speaker but If you please speak normal urdu or Conversational form of Urdu then it will be more understandable.I am from Pakistan but still for me it is too literary type.

Bhai jaan ager aap ne school ya college main urdu thori se tavajjh se pari ho to ye URDU itni Muskil nahi hai.
