Filmore & Western Railway's Final Run - 2021

3 жыл бұрынAfter nearly 30 years of service, the Filmore & Western Railway ran its final two runs ever on June 26, 2021.
The vintage railroad has served tourists and locals since the early 1990s under the Wilkinson family ownership. From holiday toy drives with Santa to evening dinner trains along the citrus groves, along with the occasional movie shoot.
With the departure of the current ownership comes a dormant line, with high hopes of revival in the fall with the arrival of new owners. Farewell to the Filmore & Western Railway.

We’ve been losing a few tourist train operations in America lately. Examples would be the Indiana Transportation Museum’s rail line from Noblesville to Indianapolis and the Thunder Mountain Line. Now we’re losing the Fillmore & Western. It’s sad

What a beautiful train! So sad to see it go. Good thing I railfanned it 3 times tho. Wish I railfanned it more, but I’ll take what I got

What will they do with the trackage? Abandon it or use it for something else? Shame there's a bunch of old crossings along that route
