I hated that they teased the return of those two, Depp and Deluise, just to rip it away from us with their surprise death scene. Like, what the Hell?!

Probably one of the best episodes, Johnny Depp show some real good acting skills and a future idea of what he would become.

This episode is interesting bc it's the first one where they really describe the pressure of being an undercover cop infiltrating some "gang". I remember the show was based on the story of an undercover cop who ended up dead bc the students dealers he had befriended with for months found out he was a cop and killed him.

I saw some photo from filming of this episode and it shows Jenko. So this episode was filmed with Frederic Forrest, but instead of airing in the first half of season 1 the Chapel scenes were reshot with Fuller and it aired as the last episode of season. I would like to know why they did it.

0:52 See kids, a good Canadian actor that can actually spell! This was BEFORE Microsoft took over the world and the laziness of people leaving the default English settings was good enough. In case the Americans missed the poke, US English is the default setting in Microsoft but that Canadian actor spelled neighbours or at least finished off what the Canadian set decoration department started. This was back when Canadians actually gave a damn. 😔

During the scene where Tom first meets Lancer at the coffee shop, the spoken dialogue does not match the character's lips, and was added in at a later date. Tom refers to "kicking tail", but his mouth clearly says the word "ass". The spoken dialogue is louder and clearer on this part, indicating it was edited in at a later date. A few scenes later, Doug also refers to getting their "tails kicked", which was also dubbed in at a later date.

I love how when this was filmed, it was filmed with what was considered swear words, but I guess they couldn't clear the censors so they have to dub over the word "ass" with "tail". Ah the 80's.
