This was a Jalen Brunson MASTERCLASS 4th quarter. In the 3rd quarter was when his offense ramped up when he scored 12 in the period, but every time the Knicks needed some offense in the 4th, Brunson either scored or assisted on points. W/O Brunson Knicks easily would've blown this lead.

Everyone said "rEgUlAr sEaSoN wInS dOnT mAtTeR" but yet this game played out exactly how the other 3 games where the knicks won during the season. When one team has another team figured out, it absolutely DOES MATTER!
@75aces97
@75aces97 Жыл бұрын
Regular season definitely counts even if some people think it doesn’t matter. Regular season doesn’t always tell you what a team is good at, but it can definitely tell you what they’re bad at. If you’re not a good road team in the regular season (like Cleveland) you don’t suddenly become one in the playoffs. And if you had no good 2 way players in the RS (like Cleveland) they don’t suddenly get better in the playoffs. Whatever deficiencies you had for 82 games don’t magically get fixed in the postseason.

J. Brunson is a crucial asset that the Dallas Mavs must have regreted to trade to the Knicks; scoring 27 pts in a play-off debut with Knicks is huge. He is now part of a franchise that could compete for the Finals in the East, should they win this series and past the semi-finals.😊

Brunson in foul trouble played 14 minutes less than mitchell. Rj inconsistent scoring but had 4 steals and 6 assists. Quickley wasn't even a scoring threat. Knicks controlled like 75% of the game. Beat the cavs at home. Mind you how dominant knicks been on the road and how dangerous they are offensively. Oh oh. Cleveland in trouble. Knicks sweeping. respect to the Cavs and their fans. Knicks out rebounded the Cavs heavy, our leader Brunson is very assertive and intentional. He's able to create shot for others and get his shot off against taller and weaker defenders. Cavs shoot poorly from 3pt which is unlike them because they were one of the best 3pt shooting teams in the East. Knicks did a great job on rotations and giving out minutes. Thibs is a diff coach from last year. Cavs still gonna fight and comeback strong. I see the series going to 6 or 7. as a Knick fan its been 23 years since we won a road game in the playoffs. I thought I never see the day of us winning, almost unreal. I love what Toppin Grimes Hart Hartenstein bring as support players on both ends of the floor. Hart is has so much awareness on both ends, defination of a 3/D. Those Villlanova dudes dont play around. Great close game. Game 2 will be tough.

Cav’s are cooked. The cupboard is bare. There will be head scratching and regret after being swept out. Just a year ago we had the golden goose, just a piece away. Then Danny Ainge swept in, filled Koby’s heart with prestige and told him what’s best for both teams, and snatched it all away. What a foolish move the Cavaliers made. Then to release Kevin, the only legitimate threat off the bench. Wow, just amazing wow.

Mitchell is taking way too many shots and taking his team out the game. He better study this and take lessons from Brunson, less shots but more efficient, passing the ball and keeping your team involved. Mitchell scoring 40 a game is not gonna happen, even so, with 40 they still lost, showing he needs help, or how by the way he's playing he's taking his team out of their game, you decide which one, but their standing around watching him try to do it all.
