23 күн бұрынThe Dallas Mavericks defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-107 in Game 3 after ending the game on a 14-3 run to take a 3-0 series lead in the Western Conference Finals. The Mavericks outscored the Timberwolves, 29-20 in Q4 while Kyrie and Luka totaled 21 of the 29 total points. Luka Doncic led Dallas with 33 points (5 3PM), 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and a career-high 5 steals while Kyrie Irving added 33 points (14 on 5-7 FG in the 4th quarter) and 4 assists in the win. Anthony Edwards led Minnesota with 26 points, 9 rebounds, and a Playoff career-high-tying 9 assists. Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals will take place on Tuesday, May 28 (8:30 p.m. ET, TNT/Tru TV).

@@auntiez4917I can’t disagree. Klay and Steph complemented each other perfectly. Steph had elite playmaking/shooting, Klay had elite defense/shooting it’s the perfect combo. As a side note, Kyrie and Luka have been playing outstanding defense which is unusual. And literally nothing else matters if they can keep scoring like this.

As much as Dallas goes with Luka and Kyrie, the rest of the guys, especially the bigs, are slamming the door on the defensive side when they need to. It just feels like it gets to a certain part of the game, and as Luka and Kyrie are doing their thing on the offensive end, the Wolves just fall off a cliff on the other end. One contested shot, no rebounds, Dallas fighting harder for every loose ball. That's how you win. Kidd has them all playing as a team, and you can tell Luka and Kyrie are all about the business of winning. They don't have time for games or excuses or losing.

It IS interesting that they can't seem to beat Dallas. Dallas is playing just good enough inside on both ends of the floor, to slow down Minny's bigs so that that explosive backcourt can focus on what they do as well as everything else they do...score. I consider any and everything from Dallas' bigs and the bench all gravy. Superstars run everything, and these two are probably the two best PGs of the top five of their generation if not in the past 5-10 years : Steph, Ja, Trae, SGA, and whoever else you want to add that I've obviously forgotten.... Just move outta the way and let these superstars shine like superstars are supposed to. Are you listening Giannis? LBJ? A.D.?....and yeah, you too Joker and Jamal. Not for nothin', but this really puts Tatum on the spot come Finals....

@cognitivedisability9864 If you think OKC was Dallas' most difficult challenge so far in these playoffs, then you just admitted that, like so many others insisting that Boston had the easiest path to The Finals, Dallas also has had an easy path. The Clippers were without arguably their best player, yet they should've given Dallas more of a run for their money in spite of their M.O. as underachievers. To compare OKC's success this year to Boston's is a mistake. They both had the best W-L records in their respective conferences and led throughout the year, but OKC is on vacation while Boston is in The Finals with a 12-2 record....the Mavs are 11-4 as we speak.

Man every series has been physical for the Mavs, OKC really brought it and to me it looks like Minnesota is just playing dirty ball. Some of that Bad Boys and Ewing Knicks defense, refs are letting it go and I'm here for it. They should be well prepared for any kind of physicality brought by the Eastern champs.

If you’re relying on a 22 year old in his first WCF to be your closer then idk what to tell you 😂 End of the day Ant is the only scorer on the team and he’s doing practically everything. The man’s dropping near 20 pt triple doubles and you’re acting like that’s nothing. He’s not Lebron 😂 and this isn’t an era where 1 superstar can take you all the way

KAT is shooting 27% from the field against Dallas including 13% from 3…. And is shooting 7 3s a game… IS THAT ON ANT? Timbs are a good defensive team with 1 shot maker (Ants struggling) and 1 shot taker in Kitten (who isn’t making them AT ALL)… Sure turning the ball over is bad… no excuses there… But in the 4th quarter alone Ant is only attempting about 3 shots a game… why do you think that is? Is it Ant passing up shots? Is it Ant being tired? Is it Dallas’s defense playing to stop him because they know no one else is going to beat them? Come on now… where is his help? If Kyrie has a subpar game you can count on Luka to give you 30. And vice versa if Luka is struggling you can count on Kyrie to close out the game and give you 30. Ants out there trying to will a team by himself because his running mate (a former #1 pick) is shooting in the 20s from the field and giving you teens in pts right now… Like I said before Ant is Ant he’s not Lebron and he’s definitely not Jordan.

Doncic is the greatest basketball player alive. Just look at every single possession and his influence on it. He's the best player in the world and its not even close. Its not even funny how good and intelligent he is. True greatness and baskteball mastery is often not flashy and goes under the radar, but true ballers know and see it.

We already know how great Kyrie & Luka is but honestly Gafford is the important player on this team. Great hustler, defensive player and if you throw a lob to him he’s dunking it. He’s been great for them all season.

Yrp this team is run by 3 basketball point gods, jkid, luka, and kai. You can even see on different plays luka and kai will call for movement and screens while the other goes one on one. Amazing brotherhood these guys have found.

3-0 I’m kind of surprise to be honest I was seeing a battle to game 7 but I guess Dallas surged. It’s a long way to make a comeback, Dallas is going to take this one. The wolves did their thing up to this point just got to keep on until you win big . Yet timberwolves fans would have you think the game is rigged in dallas favour. 😂 ive never seen a playoffs were teams are allowed to do every dirty trick in the book against a player(luka) right infront of refs, and no calls... the you watch sga in okc series and man is getting phantom fouls. Wild man. So far from what ive seen dallas have won every series with the refs against them in wierd ways
