The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, 115-108. Kyrie Irving (35 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 6 3PM) and Luka Doncic (34 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, 5 3PM) combined for 69 points for the Mavericks in the victory, while Anthony Edwards tallied 36 points and 10 rebounds for the Timberwolves. The Mavericks win their third consecutive games as they improve to 22-15 on the season, while the Timberwolves fall to 25-10.

Powell gets a lot of hate but he usually gets the simple stuff right. That corner 3 Kai made, lots of players may have not seen him and tried taking that shot late in the 4th.

Powell has limited skills but he keep doing every little things right and quick, putting 2+1, transferring the ball to Kyrie on corner without wasting time, blocking Rudy so DJJ can fly

Luka gets doubled in the 4th almost every game now. Probably the most double teamed player in the league. In the final 4 minutes he was doubled 5 times and lead to 5 good looks scored in 3 of them... 0:23 Open THJ jumper 1:06 Powell And 1 3:14 leads to open Kyrie 3 in the corner 5:16 wide open Jones Jr 3 5:55 Jones Jr dunk Jones Jr is the better pick n roll partner for Luka than Powell in crunch time. He can pop up for 3 or dribble and finish hard.

It seems like Luka is working hard on fixing his mistakes with his defense and off the ball in general so he is becoming more of a complete player. Kyrie just needs to make sure he doesn't get injured, the Mavs are without a doubt my favorite team to watch.@@NelMer21

people just won`t see ... he actually improved a lot ... and the point with his defense is also if you carry the team roughly 40min a game nd you have the highest usage rate in the league there must be a point to breath. The team knows he's carrying their offense so they need to carry the defense. But this season he is hustling more. lot's of steals already especially in the last few games.

Luka is the man and I think he is 2nd in MVP rn, but the Mavs are gonna go as far as Ky takes them tbh. Luka is going to get 30-35 ppg regardless, but if Ky continues to be this aggressive it helps the team in so many ways. 1) he pushes the pace. 2) teams either can’t double Luka as much or Ky will make them pay when they do. 3) It helps keep the teams energy up. 4) The offense won’t fall off a cliff when Luka sits.

@@mattoreilly5006 I have Luka ahead of SGA. Luka has more Pts, Reb, and AST per game. I know OKC has a better record but SGA has a better roster. He is playing with someone that is ROY and maybe Defensive player of the year at the same time. Luka has been playing with vet min and 2-way guys most of the season. Mavs were 8-2 when they were healthy.

@@Dzad00 I don't go by the stats as Luka is far more ball dominant than Shai. He's going to always have bigger all around numbers. You're right though - Luka plays with a bunch of mid role players and Kyrie has been out for a lot of the year yet Dallas is 6 or 7 games above .500 after missing the play-in last year. Luka was unbelievable in the first half last year too before trailing off. It's always the darn fitness level with Luka. It's close between Shai and Luka and honestly you could choose either. I'd pick Shai probably just because he's more my type of player than Luka. I like guys that can be effective all over the court and play off ball if they have to. My favourite player is Kawhi Leonard for instance. Shai's defence is outstanding - his efficiency is tremendous - and sometimes Jdub and Giddey take over the rock and allow Shai to rest. Yet Shai still has his numbers. Ya Holmgren is a young superstar and him and Shai are going to be a big time duo for years to come, but I'm looking just at Shai. Again, I think it comes down to I don't like players that dominate the ball to such an extreme degree like Luka as it doesn't allow your teammates to find their rhythm and be their best selves. I'm taking Shai as of today but you can't deny Luka's otherworldy abilities. It's close.

I wasnt there, but still watched the game live, all the headlines are obviously about Luka and Kyrie (respectfully so), but someone PLEASE give Powell and DJJ their flowers, Powell came up with soooo many clutch boards, his agression and effort goes under the radar all the time and if it weren't for his and-1 after Minnesota went up by 6, it would have been curtains for sure, and DJJ was just a monster all over, wasnt great on the 3's, but made up for it on the defensive end, 10 boards, 3 blocks including a MONSTER BLOCK on Gobert, then that all important dunk in the final 25s, and follows it right up with a defensive tip that goes out on Kat, CLUTCHNESS personified😮🎉

IMO this was the best game they've played so far, not even cause of Kyrie and Luka, but the whole team showed 200% effort like they actually want that top spot. D Jones had a masterclass night and he only scored like 12.

The Timberwolves got stabbed by the horns (Kai and Luka) of the Mavericks tonight. Kudos to Kai for closing out this game, which has been the Achilles heel of the Mavericks. Kai's two threes and two steals, and the smart offense of Jones Jr. made the difference down the stretch. Good game for the Mavs.
