it's scouting report. you just leave a non-shooter player like Giannis wide open everytime you can and let him shoot those 3s instead of him driving to the rim which is 100% he gonna score than him jump shooting. all about percentage and pick your poison. unfortunately for the spurs Giannis hit them at the right time which what great players do.

We just seen Giannis Antetokounmpo hit some 3-pointers and Victor Wembanyama was also hitting his 3-pointers as well. Victor Wembanyama also blocked Giannis Antetokounmpo’s shot. Then, both teams really came to play and battle with their opponents. Giannis scores 44 points and Victor scores 27 points.

⁠⁠@@evan3241Not sure what you saw from the original comment that seemed like it was insulting Wemby. Was pretty much just a recap of what happened. Per minute, Giannis scored more (1.128 ppm vs Wemby’s 1.038) so the minutes restriction is moot. Giannis was also coming off a back to back and a road trip. All that being said, it was an extremely fun match up to watch between an all time great and a kid with legitimate GOAT potential who’s just getting started. Nothing for you to be offended by here.

Giannis notes these things. He is very competitive. I believe arrogance is what will bring Wemby down. Compared to Giannis who is a sports man and has achieved some goals he's good with everyone almost and shakes hands, he likes competition. Wemby on the other hand as a rookie doing that it will probably backfire in the future.

Nah. Wemby just had the violation call on his mind and wanted to talk to the refs, wasn’t an intentional slight. They respect each other, both praised the hell out of each other postgame and have done so before this matchup as well. Wemby has said Giannis is one of his favorite players and a guy he emulates. Giannis has repeatedly said Wemby is special and the sky is the limit for him. The reality is, there will likely be a pretty short period of time where they’re both at or near their peaks. Unless either changes teams they would only ever match up in the playoffs if it were the Finals (which would be f*cking awesome to see). I think there will be a healthy rivalry between two all time greats (projecting a bit for Wemby assuming he stays healthy), but no bad blood.
