Denver wins their 6th game in a row as they defeat Los Angeles, 124-114. For Denver, Nikola Jokic led the way with 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists aided by Michael Porter Jr. (25 points (5 3PM), 10 rebounds, 4 assists) and Jamal Murray (24 points, 6 rebounds, and 11 assists) in the victory. Lebron James recorded 26 points, 9 assists, and 3 steals with Rui Hachimura tallying 23 points and Austin Reaves putting up 19 points and 14 assists for Los Angeles. Denver improves to 42-19 on the season, while Los Angeles moves to 33-29 with the loss.
With his 9th point of the first half, Lebron James reached 40K career points, and became the 1st player in NBA history to reach that benchmark.

Because the nuggets plan it that way coach malone rests jokic at the perfect times you have to be up by 15 with 6 minutes left in the 4th before jokic comes back in the game to have a chance at winning I knew when the lakers were only up by a few points when jokic came back in, in the 4th that the nuggets were going to win never felt nervous as a nuggets fan once in this game jokic and murray always takeover in the 2nd half of games

Is anyone gonna call out Darvin Hams terrible game management? Dude regularly lets the other team go on 10-0, 9-0 runs before he finally calls a timeout and that happens several times a game. Most good coaches if they see their players playing bad defense and shooting bad offensive shots they call a timeout to slow the bleeding but not Darvin Ham he lets them just play through it. Why are you saving timeouts when you’re team is losing? Use them to slow the bleeding like a real coach.

LeBron's versatility to play any of the 5 positions helped him reach the 40,000 points mark. There were times throughout the game where it was just a one-point difference, however, Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets sweep the season series in 2023/24 just like they did in last season's playoffs.
