This version of the BBC One Ident was broadcast right before the original broadcast of The End of Time, Part 2 on BBC One. It features a voiceover by The Tenth Doctor at the very end. Jan. 1st, 2009.

Expecting the normal voiceover man on New Year's Day, I jumped of my sofa and almost squeed myself to death when I heard that soft voice go, "This is the Doctor..."

Love how they altered the background music for this junction. It starts out normally, but when Tennant starts to speak, the music changes to be a more somber piece.

The piece was actually used outside of this BTW. It was used when passing to BBC News due to the loudness of the original ident.

Fun Fact : This is the sombre version which is only broadcasted on January 1 2010 The only difference during David Tennant Speaking , the music sounded different than the one on Christmas 25th to 30th

This is how far Doctor who should go when it comes to Santa Clause, a cute little non canonical ident. They shouldn’t do a whole episode about Santa Clause like Moffatt did
