I don’t think a lot of people realize how passionate Juan is about helping the company and Lance make good Harley parts. The dude commutes an hour and a half maybe more one way. He could’ve stayed at V&H and be super close to home. Good sh*t Juan, keep doing great things at Thrashin’z

It can’t be underestimated how huge the weight savings on the wheels and tires really are. That savings is so much more when they start spinning.

I got a new set of Metzelers on my FXLRS and did the same thing leaving the shop that installed them!! Felt like someone ripped the rug right under my feet!! Luckily my crashbar saved the bike

Hi guys loving the series. might be a bit late . . re cheap torque wrench, you might like to do a few test torques comparing it to a known good one. I have seen not so cheap torque wrenches snap head bolts they were so far off. cheers.

They call it “trompo” because that is Spanish for “top”, not direction but as in the top kids play with, a spinning top. So they call it that because of the shape the meat is set in and also because it is spinning

Great build series guys. Fyi, Wipe tires off with brake cleaner to remove mold release compound and do same same to new rotors.

I feel like your more likely to get freshly cooked el pastor than any other meat. Sometimes you get a carni burrito thats way bomb from somewere.. and the next time not so much.. same place. You can see the same dude back there. It was just freshly cooked first time. And probably sitting for a while next time.

I didn't quite follow the work being done to increase the range of the swingarm. Was it because it was hitting pieces attached to the frame before the shock would hit the bump stop? Or, extending the margin of clearance to allow bump stop compression? Seems to me the maker of the swingarm needs another revision. I know you talked about it in a previous episode. I don't quite remember but I think it's a prototype, or close to RTM version you guys mentioned. Not sure I would trust the removable section on the swingarm for the chain or belt removal/install. Certainly not on an adventure bike. Definitely looks cool though.

Hey Juan, what is the difference in torque specification for titanium bolts vs steel bolts? There's a bunch of different bolts on that fancy light bike and none of those titanium bolts are going to stretch as much as those steelies that you are replacing, so how do you find the spec? Is there even a place where you can look that up?

There is a reference manual called the Machinery Handbook which is treasure trove of engineering info. Book is about one thousand pages of formulas and equations for engineers and machinist use.

Those polishing machines are serious. Had a friend many years ago worked at a chrome shop. He was polishing a piece of a car bumper, piece slipped out of his hand and slammed in his face, blinded him in one eye. Don't use one if ya don't know what the dangers are.

You're gonna need BIG depleted uranium balls to keep that front end down. Are you lowering the bike? Did you replace the factory 13" shock with a 13" shock or a 12.5" one? I just put a 13" on my softail M8, and that shock looks shorter than 58mm travel, perhaps only 43mm. Probably lowers the bike a full inch in the rear.

Just take stock weight.... And then ur new weight.... Save tons of time ,, than doin each piece . Time is money u don't have much time 😂😂😂
