Don’t trust other people’s opinions on movies. They don’t watch the film through the same lens’s for which your eyes see. These movies are always subjective. Final destination movies are meant to be received as nothing more than shock value. From that perspective, they’re all great.

I can say great things about Final Destination 1. I can say great things about FD 2. I can say great things about FD 3. What can I say about Final Destination 4 aka The Final Destination? It was a movie. It existed. It started. It ended. That's all I got really. It doesn't start off the formula like the first movie. It doesn't reverse the formula like the second. It doesn't have an amazing cast and the shock of there being 2 premonitions in the movie like the 3rd. It just...is there. Very amazing franchise but this movie is unfortunately a huge miss

The one actress you know also starred in The Boys. She was Butcher's wife. For me one of the most beautiful and talented actresses ever. She started to become famous through the teen series One Tree Hill. She is also the actress who I find to cry in the most believable way. It can convey sadness like no other. To this day, I don't understand why she wasn't cast much more often for really good movies.

Premonitions in FD 1 and 2: The hero saw what happens then saved a few peoples and search for clues on who will die next. Easy to understand and his deicision is a smart plan. Premontions here: 3D objects are floating in the hero's head. They are hard to understand don't really tell you who will die. Also, the guy didn't looked for clues about death's patern; he imediately knows where to go apparently. In short, they were more effective and scary before 😨

Blake... ah the Nascar Race Track accident... bloody hell. But still, FD1 and FD3 (Roller Coaster) are my favorites.

Both Janet & Hunt lose a coin in the car wash/pool scenes. Earlier on he asked her to do heads or tails. As it was a 50% chance for the audience to guess who would die first. The mechanic apparently has no skeleton and is made of play doh. A alternate scene of his death would have had the canister take a chunk of his body without that diced stuff. Should've kept it. Another deleted scene had Janet walking down a crosswalk and narrowly avoiding many cars as she learns she can't die until she's next on the list. Don't know where they were going with that. And the alternate ending had Nick die trying to save Janet & Lori and Lori would have delivered the "what if this was death's plan all along" as the giant box that was being raised over the mall skylight would have crushed them. Since it's not in the real ending it just ends up being a red herring.

the thing people complain most about is the cgi which isn’t the best compared to the others but like someone else said it’s for the shock factor kinda like Saw . i remember the scene where her leg gets caught in the escalator stuck with me for a long time and i’m still terrified of escalators 😂

No one has ever said Scream 4 is the worst one. People will either say it’s 3 or 5. But what people DO say, and I agree with, is that out of the five FD films, this one is the worst. That’s just how it works. There will always be a movie in a franchise/series that is the weakest. Whether it’s because it doesn’t perform well or it just simply isn’t as good story wise. But from the beginning, the big first chain-reaction scene isn’t as good or as traumatic as the others and the dialogue/acting isn’t the best. The 3D aspect didn’t help.

I actually thought the initial disaster for this one was the scariest in the series

I remember that Cojo mentioned Daytona in the reaction to FD 2. He literally foreshadowed this one. Also, I like this beginning despite the bad CGI, but I feel that this one is not great because of all the foreshadowing clues it gives between scenes. And the pool extracting Nick Zano's guts is not nice. FD 5 is awesome. Can't wait.

Despite the title being "The Final Destination," it wont be the last in the series. I saw this one on HBO and it's pretty good, even though not everyone liked. It's still an enjoyable experience.

Hunt's pool death was loosely inspired by a young girl from my state. Abigail Taylor in 2007, there's a wiki page about it. I remember when it happened. Ever since then, a new law was created so that the pools in MN have anti-entrapment covers over all floor drains.

Final Destination 5 is better and with a shocking ending... you'll enjoy it.

I think why this movie just isn't as good is that the most memorable scene is the opening. After that the movie is really forgettable, this one used to play on TV all the time and I've seen it multiple times, yet watching you guys I didn't remember like that middle chunk minus the pool thing. The deaths are so quick and don't really have that same suspense build up like previous. They just kinda...happen. And you don't really get attached to any of the characters in this one, I love FD2 because I found the cast very endearing in how they came together to try not to die. But these guys, I don't even know their names. The car opening was still the first FD thing I ever saw tho, so! Thanks FD4!

For me, this one was the worst of the whole series. It was filmed with the sole purpose of exploiting the new 3D gimmick that was a novelty at the time. The next one is far better, in my opinion.

I think this a great example of a movie that suffers from being made specifically in 3D for cinema (I didn't see this in the cinema but I saw 5 which was also in 3D and you can tell it is done so much better). It's generally considered the weakest one because of that, the bad CGI, the deaths which seem like they're for the shock factor more than any previous movie (though the tension and the fake-outs are just as good imo) and the characters are not as relatable/likeable. But I still enjoy it for what it is. 5 is SO good though! The race-car accident is similar to a real life disaster that occured in 1955; The Le Mans disaster in which a multi-car collision launched an engine block, hood and other wreckage into a packed crowd of spectators, killing 84 people. The deaths included spectators being cut in half by the flying hood and the engine block crushing a swathe through the crowd, plus an explosion and a fire. Hunt's death is loosely based on the real life deaths of Abigail Taylor and Valerie Lakey. The former was in June 2007 when a 6 year old girl named Abigail fell on a poorly maintained drain that didn't have the appropriate safety devices. The powerful suction ripped her small intestine from her body which was forcefully drawn out through the anus, leaving her with short bowel syndrome. Despite receiving the best medical care in the following 9 months, Abigail died in March 2008 due to a transplant-related cancer. You can read her tragic story here: abbeyshope.org/abbeys-story/. The latter was in 1993 when a 7 year old girl named Valerie was disemboweled and drowned after she became stuck against a faulty drain cover. Furthermore, the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (which took effect in December 2008) is named after a 7 year old girl who drowned due to the same in June 2002. Between January 1985 and March 2002 there were 147 confirmed and recorded swimming pool/spa suction-entrapment incidents of which 36 were fatal. Also, there is a video of a woman who was swallowed by a mall escalator, though it doesn't happen like it does in the movie. She had her child with her who survived. As with the previous movies, there are unused endings. In one, Nick gets Lori out of the cinema before the explosion kills Janet and the others but they get stuck on the escalator and Lori gets crushed. When getting hit by the ambulance, George was trying to say "My wife said that Deja Vu is like God's way of telling you that you are in the right place at the right time", which Nick finishes at the end right before they die. Also, when coffee is spilled over the newspaper, there is a news article about three students dying after a car crashed into a storefront, hinting at the ending and The car that crashes at the speedway has the number 666 on it. While car 6 is in pit stop, the number 666 is shown (a number 6 on the car and two number 6 flags). Just before one of his premonitions Nick drops a book that opens to a page with an open hand, which is a symbol for death in Hinduism. The auditorium that Lori and Janet go into is 13. In the death scene with Samantha and the lawn mower, there is a newspaper stating the hair salon was called Lakeview-the same name as the hospital in FD2.

ppl hate this one so much but I thought it was by farrr the funniest 😭 ‘I got my eye on you’ and the cartoonishly angry shaking fists before the tow truck were pure camp. i watched this series when I was pretty young but I always thought of them more as campy kinda funny movies rather than actually scary and well done ones, so I never minded the fact that this one was objectively worse

Don’t know if anyone is familiar with “ The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” film but I highly recommend it. It’s a steam- punk hero film that came out in 2003. There’s no sequels so if y’all ever wanted to take a break from film franchises, this is a good one. Also recent sub here, I’m loving the content so keep it up!

This movie is the kind of movie you watch when you got nothing to do, just to spend your free time😂 The main reason this installment failed was because they experimented it with being a 3D movie, but most people don’t watch movie like that, except you were in cinema (maybe). And the movie was very rushed. As if the movie itself was trying to catch a metro train 🚊 in NYC during the peaked hours😅 No emotional attachment with the characters and their death ☠️ moments as well. In summary, this movie exists just because someone decided to make another installment for the franchise, but with no heart❤ on it. And that’s the final artworks we received😊 *The failure of this installment almost caused the franchise to end just like that. Thanks to the fans/audience support, finally they were given a second chance to make things right. As a result, we had the 5th installment of this franchise as the redemption/retribution/salvation arc🥹

I have the dvd of this movie it was 3D in theatres & the dvd comes with classes for the 3D version, I think that's why it's the least popular bc the deaths are made to be watched in 3D I think so watching the regular version isn't the same.

The main protagonist was good the rest of the cast and deaths was ehh not the best and yeah the cgi was terrible. Part 5 is probably the best. Part 5 has a REALLY good way of making you cringe not from how bad it is but how each death makes you dread the lead up and how brutal the deaths are.
