Thank you so much for this! I find it too daunting to look thru all the moves figuring everything out myself. The macros you provided for really confusing, but I guess it's because we have different crossbar setting, so I had to just manually assign the buttons as you call them out I got a bit confused when you started naming the "hold down" hotbar first for the left side but read the "main" hot bar first for the right side. But I figured the hotbars with repeats are meant to be in the "hold down" hotbars. Still, immensely helpful. I now have a base again instead of defunctional X's and ?'s lol

Such a lovely video, I have just started playing summoner and this made my life much easier being I leveled my SCH a lot and was clueless on what to do on SMN. Thank you so much Brain have a wonderful day and keep on keepin on

Thank you for posting, about to give it a shot! Playing keyboard and mouse hurts my hand sometimes because of joint issues and setting up controller in FFXIV is not exactly intuitive lol.

The first time I saw this smn xhb I thought this was really bad, didn't think much of it and kept my setup I was using from day one. It was familiar, made (kinda) sense but was super uncomfortable to play really. Recently I started to improve my ui and xhb and I was struggling to find the right setup for controller and eventually came back to this. I gotta say, it looks kinda weird but it's comfortable. Made a few tweaks for my personal preference and voila, perfection.

Why cant I shuffle though my hot bars while my pet is out I can only cycle through hot bar 1 and pet hat bat how do I go to the 2nd

This is a great video with lots of information ... But ... Why are we newbies forced to see setups for lvl 90? I'm only a lvl 21 Arcanist and can't find a single video about to setup. Maybe consider breaking down some of these into smaller bits of 1-30, 31-60 & 60-90 or something??

Use hot bar 3+ and also select hide hotbar numbers on the hotbar settings in character config. I go into more detail on that with my complete controller guide

At the moment, I’m having a serious issue with the pet hotbar. So bad, it made me try and fix it on my own, ended up having to reset my Hotbars to default, and it’s this: I cannot get past the pet hotbar. Once Carbuncle is out, my hotbar refuses to toggle to the second hotbar- which is crippling my ability to play even a lvl 29 ARC. Once Carbuncle is put away, I can easily toggle and see the hot bars and the buttons I couldn’t access. Is this a common problem?

I’m having the same issue. Once the pet is active you can only toggle the main cross hot bar and the pet cross hot bar.

@@ryanorr5893 I found out that the only way is to disable the hotbar. Carbuncle follows me around anyways- I don’t need to be able to micromanage the pet. So far, at least.

Hi I’m dumb and a little confused about the macros, why are they all crossed out and why are there multiple sections for each section? Like the right side macro has 3 different sections with a lot of repeats

@@Minaret911 Probably too late for you, but that's because the document is in "suggestion" mode. You're seeing suggested changes other people have made to the document. To get out of this, in the top right, you should see a greenish button that says Suggesting. Click that and change to "Viewing" and you will see the final version of the document.
