This was a long fight lol. leviathan has tons of HP and loves to run away a lot. I forgot you could use special attacks in Ifrit form as well 😂So the second phase goes a bit quicker than the first. The shield is the part where I failed a lot. You got to be quick and constantly dealing damage or you get tital wave swept to death. Full DLC video coming next. Enjoy!

Man I'm really struggling on the shield like I'm lvl 104 with omega sword and best items but I never get enough damage in to break it like 2 second and I'd have enough. What can I do ? Just grind till 110?

I like the fact that from the dialogues during Leviathan fight, Clive as Ifrit is like a older sibling to Levi. Such as the instance when Levi made a huge Watersprout Clive replied that Garuda would be proud about it lol. But yeah, at this point of time Clive is already too powerful for Leviathan to beat. I wonder how powerful this Leviathan is in comparison to other previous boss Eikons, minus the power up forms after consuming the ether from Mother Crystal that is.

I was a bit roast. Not been playing for at least 4 months. It took me a bit time to get used to the game again and this leviathan took a very long time trying to prevent tsunami like 3 damn hours. I was beaten about 50 times. It was damn hard.

It was hard I got beat with tsunami 5 times. I got the timing wrong every time. Soon as the black recharged I managed to beat him. Still crazy boss badly.

Dominants are chosen the moment there Mother gets prego, they later on awaken in there child-teens or adults it can take years to be awaken,

I can’t work out what I’m doing wrong, I can’t seem to get his health down before he does the Tsunami attack and I’m hitting him just as much as you. Are you playing on final fantasy mode?

This is normal. FF would be even higher levels. Regardless of difficulty eikons do the same damage threshold shouldn't matter

@@Rubhen925 I was able to beat the DPS check second try. Still died twice in total and nearly a third time. On Final Fantasy mode.

I failed it a lot too. That was my Main problem, but I was on FF mode. Lot of dodge counters and trying to time the shield correctly for extra damage....Though I was like...3 months rusty. That's my excuse...Yes. :')

I’ve been on this final boss for the last hour. I don’t know how to do that damage check tsunami attack. box for the last hour. I don’t know how to do that damage check tsunami attack. You meant to enjoy dlcs not rage quit and I’m on Final Fantasy mode it should be a cakewalk. I’m this close to rage Quittin. I just can’t do it. I’ve done every attack perfectly, even the brimstone, dodging all his water attacks? He still manages to summon the attack.

@@MortisTheAxeopen with your laser as soon as you gain control. After that use your sprint to get close to leviathan and immediately use brimstone. After that spam 3 square followed by 2 triangle over and over until you are either pushed away or your abilities recharge.

nope nothing. I tried and got nothing new. CGinferno also streamed and got nothing new. This is after I finished all side quests, and the trial by water. so square can piss off.

nothing. ff16 is a great game but this dlc is a big fucking letdown and unless you really want to beat the shit out of leviathan there's absolutely no point in purchasing a 5h long side quest.

Took me 3 tries as well. The goal is to instantly do r2 and triangle to start the beam. Always use your specials when you have then as you want to maximize the damage. If you get hit by any of the moves you're slowed down so you gotta be perfect there

I agree with you that Square Enix ruined the fun of the whole DLC by making this last fight so fucking hard. When you play on story it should be easier so you can enjoy the story. I mean I finally got it after many many tries, but I have a bad taste in my mouth for the first time with a Final Fantasy. Kinda ruins it for me.

Are you making sure to do the magic combos? Slash-fire-slash-fire-slash-fire is way more damage efficient than just spamming only melee attacks.

Yep, I’ve tried that but even though I’m max level it doesn’t make a difference that attack would still wipe you Which is weird because if your max level you should be able to crush the damage check of a final boss unless the final boss in this dlc compared to the base game scales with your level

It should be at the end of the mission replays in the glowing stone at the hideaway. I think you have to go through the entirety of the previous dungeon though (the frozen temple)
