Havent got a ps5 but watched the intergrade chapters and I like how yuffie was handled. Her fighting style looked great. I think its safe to say Vincent will also get some love probably in part 2 since I'd wager it will at least go till the forgotten city. But will have to wait and see. That's just where I think a good song point would be. But I suppose if they make every area as vast as part 1 did it might end at nibbleheim which should still let us at least see Vincent in part 2

Yuffie might be the only party member that Aerith can openly talk to about Zack, Cloud is a no go because even mentioning Zack screws with his head and Tifa is avoiding the subject to protect Cloud. The sidequests in cc reinforce that despite knowing Yuffie was manipulating him Zack still always went to make sure she was safe. It'd be really nice to see that play in to remake depending on what timeline Zack ends up in it gives Yuffie yet another plot thread which is already looking substantial.

I wonder if Zack and Yuffie will still remember each other in the Remake?

And, IMO, she also has the saddest and most heartbreaking reaction to Aerith's death (followed by Tifa). The way she tries to give Aerith's body a "warrior's salute" and then tries to comfort Cloud while visibly trying to hold back tears, but then her seeing just how hurt and broken Cloud is by Aerith's death, it ends up shattering what's left of her resolve and she just breaks down in tears while Cloud at least tries to hold and comfort her. After all, Yuffie is by far the youngest party member, being just 16 years old, while Cloud is 21, and Tifa is 20. Vincent is the oldest party member at 57 (though, physically, he is only 27), followed by Red XIII being 48 (though among his own kind he is still technically a teenager). Barret is then next at 35, and Cid is 3 years younger at 32. And then Aerith is just 1 year older than Cloud at 22. Interestingly enough, Sephiroth isn't that much older than Cloud, he is only 6 years older than Cloud is, at just 27, making him older than Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, & Yuffie, but younger than Cid, Barret, Red XIII, & Vincent (though Vincent and Sephiroth are physically the same age).

haven't watched the video, plan to later. But Yuffie was originally going to be part of the love triangle with Cloud and Aerith, but that was changed much later in development. She was super important to the story before they created Tifa using aspects of Aerith and Yuffie (Aerith was the childhood friend, Yuffie was the bartender for example)

I think she also stole my Phoenix down because I couldn't find them until she returned to the party. I was playing with some friends and was like against the boss. Me: Wait where is my phoenix down? I can't find it. Friend: Don't she stole your things? Me: ... I will make her pay for that and that is the story of how Yuffie stayed in my party for the rest of the game, was my MVP since that moment, destroyed Emerald Weapon and killed Sephiroth in one cicle

I didn't really like Wutai tbh. Yuffie is still one of my fav characters though.

That's why I loved Yuffie so much as a teenage girl myself when I played the ffvii, because she was not perfect and much more relatable.

Aerith did talk about him in the playground scene. In the original, she did not mentioned his name, in the remake, she says his name and Cloud had one of those "headaches". As for the Buster sword, they probably thought it was a common weapon for Soldiers.

You have a cutscene in Gongaga if you enter Zack's parents house, for that you need to have both Tifa and Aerith on your party. The reason why you don't have Yuffie mentioning Zack in the original FFVII it's because they only planned that after in FFVII Crisis Core.

From what I've seen of the Remake so far, she's probably going to be much improved. But to be fair to Yuffie, as an optional party member, it's a bit tough for her to get the same kind of development as the other characters since you could recruit her as early as the forests around Junon, but you could potentially also end up recruiting her much later on as well, and since the window to recruit her is so variable, it's hard to give her moments of character development.

I have huuuuuuuuuge issues with Remake as far as plot goes but one thing it absolutely NAILED was characterization I expect Yuffie will be handled extremely well providing they don't get a bad voice actress which given the S tier voice acting of part 1 i'd say is unlikely

Sorry for the wall of text, but it is important to know what transpired in the original game between Midgar and obtaining Yuffie as a party member to know how long it'll take in FF7R pt2. As soon as Cloud Strife and friends leave Midgar, the party end up in the Midgar Area of the planet and travel to Kalm, where Cloud talks about the Nibelheim Incident and described his battles alongside Sephiroth through Mt. Nibel. After the flashback, the party can grab chocobos to cross the swamp without being attacked by a Midgardsormr (a recurring serpent creature that in FF7 and FF15 is an incredibly deadly monster encountered fairly early on). The party then finds an impaled Midgardsormr on a tree, which they assume is the work of Sephiroth, demonstrating once more how crazy powerful Sephiroth is. They enter the Mythril Mine where they encounter the Turks. Reno is incapacitated from the events in Midgar, so a rookie Turk, Elena, replaces him. Tseng mentions that hunting Sephiroth is their priority over capturing Aerith while Elena slips up and mentions Sephiroth has been spotted in the Shinra army base city Junon. The party enters the Junon Area and can choose to do two side quests on the way to Junon. The first one is the Siege of Fort Condor which you can do part of before entering Junon. It is a tactical RPG similar to the Fire Emblem series where Fort Condor's defenders battle against Shinra's trained beasts (yes, Shinra trains beasts). You can only do the first battle out of three right before Junon, but there is actually a different side quest you can complete prior to entering Junon within the Junon Area. In forests, you can find the "Mystery Ninja". After being defeated, they demand a second round. In order to progress this side quest, Cloud needs to turn them down. If he does not, then they will run away and the player needs to try again to continue the side quest. The "Mystery Ninja" asks if the party leader is scared of them and Cloud has to pretend he is. They say that they are about to leave and Cloud must stop them before they do. After they ask Cloud if he wants them to come with, he has to say yes. The "Mystery Ninja" tells Cloud that it's decided that they are coming with Cloud, Barret, Tifa, Aerith, and Red XIII (possibly more if you wait until later) and Cloud must say to hurry as opposed to asking them their name. The "Mystery Ninja" reveals herself to be Yuffie Kisagawa. Yuffie then joins the party. In short, kind of close, but with FF7R stretching everything out, I would assume 10 hours maybe 5 to get to the Junon Area to grab Yuffie.

They are free to play and no you don't have to pay money at all. I'd recommend Brave Exvius and Dissidia Opera Omnia personally. They both have amazing storylines.
