I am impressed that there was still a lot final boss sauce for sephiroth

That's pretty much every boss in this game. "Alright, we've got this filler boss against a big robot before the Reactor 5 part which has literally zero plot significance. A remix of the normal battle theme should do." *Proceeds to make what is basically the most epic remix of Let the Battles Begin ever, which could easily pass as a final bosss theme*

TBH I was annoyed by this, far too many overly long boss fights.

I feel like they did that a little too much, Every boss fight felt a little more epic than it needed to be.

Because the Final boss theme is one-winged angel, and it blows everything out of the park.

Because it could be the characters' last moments alive

They nailed at the soundtrack, no wonder it got the best soundtrack game award for it

If every tracks sounds like the final boss... maybe you are the final boss?

And people wonder why it took so long to release and why it's taking so long for p2. Because Square doesn't fuck around! Not intentionally haha I mean they re-released an entire game cuz it sucked... that says something...

To be fair, they hired many big names for a track or two. Keiki Kobayashi, best known for the ace combat games, was hired for the Valkyrie theme.

I think the Valkyrie fight theme is better. Go listen to it if you've forgotten. It's maybe the best boss theme ever.

Maybe the wall market theme, but the boss themes and character's theme are out of this world man

I like to think of it as a battle with so much chaotic madness that the urgency is that big of a deal to finish off the threat of the world

I swear when this second phase of the song hit, i was like OH MY GAWWWDDD!!!!! And then during the moment the frist phase transitioned to the second it got me saying, "oh shit, this is serious" especially at the fact that when I first fought this boss. I didnt understand how to properly fight the Ghoul but now i do, it caught me by surprise that this song also plays when you fight Abzu the 2nd time

I really like the Crab Warden theme, with how the music amps up as you get phase changes. All the boss battle themes in the remake are so good though.

A year late, but it does not. Devil's Advocate (or perhaps Eligor's Advocate?), I really struggled with Ghoul. It was a particularly annoying boss to fight. Soundtrack is a 1000% banger, but fuck that boss, haha. Am I glad those kids are dead? No. But if they are this much of a shit in death, they can't have been the nicest kids in life either.

Just remember this plays on the second half of ghoul's fight, a boss made up of many spirits of the children who were killed and their souls trapped in the train graveyard. This boss fight was just them trying to play with you

Agreed. There are very few games today that stand out. This, Persona 5, Bloodborne and Dark Souls really are all just crowning achievements in music.

Perfection doesn't exist, but considering the enormous hype for this remake, which was almost a legend (and kinda still is, since they Haven't finished yet), I'd say they did great

I saw this comment and for like the last two weeks I thought you were full of crap and being one of THOSE fans... if you get what I mean. But earlier I finally heard it and was like "Oh my god I'm such a failure" But in my defense, its hard to notice until they put the vocals together at the end, and while I definitely agree that its there, its not exactly the same. Its missing a syllable. Plus FF X was great and all that, but not really one of my favorites, so it just went right over my head. So yeah, good ear
