As someone who has both Paladin Cecil and Sacred Shield Charlotte, I've felt that I've used Paladin Cecil far more often, thanks to his elemental buffs and Stardust Ray chains. Sacred Shield Charlotte's Neo Vision Awakening may certainly make her into a better magic tank, though she won't gain any supportive effects that will make me switch the two. It really depends on what you're looking for. On another note, Seeker of Freedom Vaan is still a top tier breaker, and he can certainly be used as an evasion provoke tank. But if you're just looking for an evasion provoke tank, almost anyone (to varying degrees) can fill that role with the right equipment setup. Regardless, Vaan's STMR happens to be excellent in fleshing out that role, and while it's a bit of a heavy investment, it's not a bad one by any means.

@@POTKCS Thank you so much for the reply and insight. Hmm I do have Starlight Elena who can chain stardust ray with Cecil and Aureole Ray with SS Charlotte. I think I'm just looking for a magic tank that has longevity. I was thinking about getting Charlotte since she'll get her NV awakening and you did say that it's most likely that Gumi will make a new NV Cecil unit since all other main characters have one too (Cloud FF7Remake, Rain, Firion, etc). But if that's the case, I'd rather get Summer Fina & Daisy right? For physical tank I have NV Gabranth. For buffers I have Mastermind Xon and Sylvie. As for healers, I have Doctor Aiden, Warrior of Light Lenna, Folka, non NV Aerith and Lotus Mage Fina. For breaker I have NV Loren. Though having Vaan would help in both physical tank and breaker roles.... But you are right, I'm very interested in at getting Vaan's STMR, since it could be very useful for my NV Gabranth... as well as Mastermind Xon's since I already got him but not his prism. But if the contents doesn't require physical evading and provoking tanks, I'd want to use my UoC tickets to get 1 long term investment Magic Tank that wouldn't get overshadowed easily... at least until I can get Summer Fina & Daisy. I'm concerned that the developers might renege and go "ah, yeah, due to balancing purposes we can't let you guys select Neo Vision five-star units anymore." There's no need to be anxious over it though, as the developers should know that the player base wouldn't react positively to that.

If Hallowed Aegis Charlotte has been working well for you, then there's no need to change her. Consider changing her when you come across a trial where she continuously fails to protect your team.

Sacred Shield Charlotte will receive the magic tank symbol one she's been awakened. Awakened Warrior of Light... really shouldn't be dying easily, unless you're tackling content meant for seven star units. Of course, there are several other likely scenarios (taking a physical tank to an enemy that deals more magic damage, not giving him enough elemental resistance of a certain type, no gear...) AC Tifa, though a decent unit, can't compare to the damage output of the regular Neo Vision Tifa. While you can turn the regular Tifa into a Neo Vision, it's a steep slope to unlock the massive damage that everyone's talking about. First, you'll have to have her maxed out, get her STMR, Neo Vision her, and unlock the first stage of Neo Vision. That's four different steps. To break it down: Get Tifa, awaken her to her 7* form (you can just pick up her prism for eight tickets instead of using 10 tickets), reach level 120 and get her STMR (either STMR moogle or get two additional Tifas and fuse them into her), Neo Vision her (will require you to convert another Tifa into fragments and a pearl), and unlock her Brave Shift (will require you to convert two Tifas). All in all, if you were just going by Tifa count, you'd need 7 Tifas at most to unlock the same Tifa everyone is talking about. Is she worth the trouble? Definitely. As a Finisher, you'll definitely see results with her in battle.

As of writing, you have a good, balanced team with some excellent units! You may want to switch out Zargabaath eventually, but there's no immediate need to do so.

Awakened Warrior of Light does an excellent job as a Physical Tank. He doesn't get much hype nowadays because there are so few trials that require a physical tank over a magical tank in the first place. Regis's buffs are a bit on the lower end as of writing, but his ability to grant certain killer buffs and Aureole Ray chaining attacks to the rest of your team can make him incredibly useful under the right circumstances. Outside of that though, you may want to look for a better supporter. If you need one right now, consider getting Lunafreya or Nichol of the Epsilon Star. If you're not in a rush, then saving for Poppy (Pone) might be the right decision. As for Healers... I don't think you need to replace Rena with Doctor Aiden (I'm assuming both can be maxed). At all. But be aware that that's my biased opinion.

Doc Aiden's is more of a sidegrade to Rena. Rena is a slot efficient healer/support, while Doc Aiden have barriers. Both also have different imbue.

In my opinion, you have way too many damage dealers (aka DPS) on your team. Generally you only need 1 and then have a friend you can chain with but that could change depending on the situation For a more optimal team you should replace 2 of 3 the dps units with a breaker unit and a buffer/support unit. These 2 roles are key for team building

@@mauroalvarez6059 General teams are normally: tank - chainer - healer - breaker (debuffer) - supporter or finisher - friend (normally another chainer). Bringing a supporter or a finisher will generally depend on the way you plan to clear a trial. Want to clear a trial quickly? Bring a Finisher. Can't beat the trial fast enough? Can't be helped, bring a supporter. Of course, this is just a general format; actual teams tend to be a lot more specialized, but that's for specific scenarios. In your case, the units that can cover said roles (in respective order) are: [Paladin Cecil (magic tank)] - [NV Cloud or Yunalesca] - [Doctor Aiden] - breaker (debuffer) - supporter/[NV Tifa] - friend. If you want a breaker immediately, then Rikku (X-2) is a good choice, though I'd advise waiting for either Seeker of Freedom Vaan or Healing Avatar Lid. Paladin Cecil can dish out under-average breaks if necessary. Supporters tend to be either general or specialized, depending on the content. Regardless, as of writing Lunafreya and Nichol of the Epsilon Star are both excellent choices for general use.

I think Aerith (FFVII REMAKE) is the best Healer as of writing. Granted, most people will disagree, probably because she's incredibly tricky to use. Regardless, I've used Warrior of Light Lenna since her release, and haven't replaced her since (though I'm a F2P who hasn't tried to get Aerith). Regardless, if you don't have a Breaker, then I'd definitely recommend prioritizing that first. Enemies can hit hard, and lowering their attack by 75% or so will take a lot of power out of their bite.

Dr Aiden offers more than Lena in general. The issue with NV Aeris is do you run say a certain bunny or not? Aeris can't prevent breaks or ailments. As for breaker it depends on what breaker you run now and what values they have.

I used FFVII Remake Aerith for a long while since she has skills that grant reraise, can remove breaks from the entire team, and she can keep HP and MP up quite often in my experience. However, I haven't gotten to use WoL Lenna, since I never really aimed for a new healer. With that said, I'm not sure what Lenna can offer, but Aerith is a pretty useful healer and support to an extent too. I'm still learning my way through some trials (Gigantuar was a pain in my ass) so I apologize I can exactly help, but Aerith is a useful healer, that I know :3

His ability to spread a unit's buffs still hasn't been replicated by any other unit, and his potential viability hasn't been diminished like many other seven stars during the Neo Vision era. He's definitely a great unit that can boost a team's viability.

While Sephiroth (KH) is a damage dealer, I don't think he's really meant to replace a tank. A tank is pivotal in most battles, as they soak up a majority of the enemy's attacks. As such, I recommend getting a Magical Tank (a unit that guards against magic attacks) first, like Paladin Cecil or Sacred Shield Charlotte. After that, it'd be great to get a breaker (a unit that can lower the enemy's stats), such as Seeker of Freedom Vaan. But of course, you don't necessarily have to prioritize units that you dislike, as there'd be no point to playing this game if you're not having fun with your favorite characters. On another note, Terra will eventually receive a new Neo Vision release, and her damage output will far surpass that of Magitek Warrior Terra's.

There hasn't been any news regarding those two units as of writing.

As of writing, he's pretty outclassed by a lot of other units nowadays. If you like Onion Knight, you might be interested to know that he recently got a Neo Vision form. Unfortunately, it's a different unit entirely, meaning Awakened Onion Knight is left behind.

@@user-no2ey6yj1t Crown Prince Noctis suffers from not being a part of a chaining family. He was great upon his release because his damage output was high, but at this time it's better to use someone stronger and can contribute with chaining. If you're looking for a physical damage dealer, then Tifa can serve as either a Chainer or a Finisher. In regards to magic damage dealers, it's best to wait until the pool gets updated.

He's not in the pool yet. You'll have to wait for him to be added in. The developers have already listed the dates that tell when the past seven stars should be added in (I put it in the description as well). If you need a breaker immediately (to clear the trials for the SOON coins maybe), then Rikku (X-2) and her 80% breaks should be enough. Of course, the rest of your team will have to make up for that 5% difference, which might be difficult depending on your inventory.
