RABtoons RABtoons great video. I hope you continue this with FFV. Lots of love and shit to make fun of. If you don't mind I would like to throw a few idea for the FFV vid. The dragon ball z battle between Exdeath and the Turtle. Mid being an annoying dick. Alternate ending to the galuf exdeath battle but galuf uses dark spark and lvl 5 death to beat exdeath. The crap ton of plot convience. There's tons of material to make fun of in FFV. Love that game.

Technically, you never need to enter Eblan Castle. You get Edge in Eblan cave. Eblan castle is just a dungeon with no random encounters and three trapped chests.

I was hoping Cecil would point out the dwarves lost 2 crystals on their own, but rabtoon didnt mention them. Actually, I always had a problem with those other 2 crystals being left out of play.

Actually if you heal the dark you with your magic, he dies faster. The reason behind that is healing and letting go of your past self to make up for your sins. Cecil felt guilty from the start which is why he was able to be saved by his father who switched places with him before passing on.

This video basically shows why Cecil's my 2nd favorite FF Protag in the series. Mostly for how much Cecil has to go through both mentally and physically in his home game. 7:58-8:27 Hands down my favorite part. Final Fantasy X is my favorite game, but Cecil Harvey is my favorite character. Tbh, FFIV, FFX, and FFXII would have been awesome as manga, anime, or a series of some kind.

I like the animation and all the voice work. It's noticeable that this wasn't a high budget production but I can tell you put a lot of work into it. You make light of some of the contrived story elements like Cecil's superficial character growth, flip floppy Kain, Tellah's daughter and Edwards relationship with her, and characters sacrificing themselves over every dumb thing that happens. I think a lot of Final Fantasy IV fans shrug their shoulders and otherwise consider this game to be a narrative masterpiece but these things drive me CRAZY. FFIV feels like it was written by ambitious middle schoolers. It plays well enough, but Final Fantasy V and VI are more interesting and fun.

I don't think any fans of 4 are there for the narrative. I like 4 a lot, but it's more because a lot of the staples of final fantasy were introduced in 4. Save points, ATB, enemies that counterattack, demon wall mechanic, etc. That being said, 4 was also a "narrative masterpiece" because it was the first game to break the old traditions of the first 3 installments (which was basically a map with only dungeons and boss battles, fire emblem style.) It basically was the blueprint game for Final Fantasy as we know it today.

Nice job! I think the only person I was sad about was Palom and Poram. I kind of liked them and though you technically don't have them long they were pretty damn powerful with their murder everything twin powers activate. Cid's death kind of sucked though I don't recall him being very strong but than I called bullshit when he came back. He blew himself up, fell God knows how many feet (he had to of reached terminal velocity) and smashed into the ground/lava, and then I'm certain a literal mountain of rocks had to have landed on top of him after all was said and done.

This reminded me that Cecil and company were *REALLY, REALLY BAD* at what they did, and only managed to save the world because Zemus was a weakling that needed peons, and as Zeromus, he had a crystal allergy, so basically dumb luck. :3

Good thing FFIV is about mercy and second chances. In less forgiving media, Cecil would have been sidelined or wrecked by the fact that he has worsened the situation to the point where Zeromus is unleashed from Zemus

To be fair, "the party sucks at achieving their objective throughout the entire game" is pretty much every final fantasy. In 2, the rebels suck at stopping the empire from wrecking everyone's shit. In 4, they suck at protecting the crystal from Golbez. In 5, they suck at keeping the crystals glued together. In 6, they suck at preventing Kefka from reaching godhood. In 7, they suck at stopping Sephiroth from acquiring Meteor. In 9, they suck at stopping Kuja from carpet bombing people. It's kind of a reoccuring theme throughout the franchise...

The chocobo storage bit from 8:27-8:43 was quite the gutbuster, and I've been repeating the line at 12:42 (Golbez saying "yeah, he was super easy to kill") in real life LOL. Starting to feel like a broken record gushing after discovering and watching each successive episode, but how amazing was this one!?

IV is one of the best games of the whole franchise. Sure it has chibi graphics and arguably good voice acting, but I think it needs to have just as much fame as 7, 8, 13, and 15.
