TL;DR : 1: Don't expect good graphics, just look at the trailer. They're fucking awful. If you think eye-candy is what makes a game, this entire series will disappoint you. 2: If you like depth, story, character development, and other content then these games might be enjoyable to you. Remember ff VII. Graphics were so bad that I cringed as an 11 year old when the game first came out. Med Otaku yeah, can't argue IV in-game graphics is not the best, but its cut-scenes are great; Final fantasy picked up in its latter versions; FFXIII being especially one of the best in both in game graphics and cut scenes of yet, so i can't wrap my head as to why you criticized what clearly has a good bit of everything as a failure. FFXIII might have slow character development true but it's still got in and the story is captivating got good depth and i'll recommend that for people who love good jrpg games and it's traditional style of combat(improved on of course).

@@1gta4gta how is it not a remake? They took the original and rebuilt it from ground up in a 3d engine, and added voiced dialogue with full cinematic camera angles in important cutscenes. And it aged pretty ok so far, it's literally just the same game but in 3d.

if you play the after years, you'll see that the first 6 final fantasy games are all part of the same universe. You got to fight the same creator who seeded all the planets from the first six games with life and also created all the crystals as a way of giving humans power and also monitoring their development.

All of the sound tracks accross the entire series are 'similar' and share a lot of the same tunes. An original score is in every game and is composed to match the emotion and feel of the new FF universe iteration. But tunes like "Victory" are in pretty much all of them since FF XI.
