Final Fantasy Tactics Steal Guide, How To Increase Steal Percentage & When To Steal

Күн бұрынHere is how to increase your chances of stealing items in Final Fantasy Tactics + in War of the Lions as well as when I recommended stealing from enemies in every Chapter as well as in some other side quests.
Just note that if an enemy has Safeguard or Maintenance you can't steal their items.

Traitor is nice early, especially if you’ve leveled yourself up a lot. It allows you to have equipment closer to equal to the level you face in random battles. Steal is nice for stockpiling Gil, though. I’ll have to remember to bring Steal for some of the battles against special characters, like Melliadul. Thank you for sharing this!

Back in the day on PS1 I didn't know Brawler, Attack Boost, or Speed improved Steal %, I thought the Theif Job improved it but that was just cuz they have higher speed, took forever stealing the Genji Gear at 6-8% Steal but I got it eventually 😂

Thieves are actually a pretty good job in chapter 1 and 2 for leveling up and gaining JP. You can just keep using steal Gil to level up. The monsters aren’t too high of level. Great video, Jase!

you don't need to go through the effort to steal Gaf's gear before he betrays you, you just unequip him before the battle haha

I know they made it so you can't steal them in the WoTL versions by giving the enemy that has them maintenance, but in the ps1 version you can also steal the blaze, blast and glacial guns from the story missions where you run into the templars that have them or that chemist that has one of them during the goland goal city side quest with beowulf.

Thanks although I can't recommend stealing the Lightning Gun in the story. By that point your save point is locked in the point of no return on the world map. Why I didn't mention it in this video lol

@@J7Jase I feel you on the lightning gun bit. I just figured I'd include it in my post cuz it is technically stealable in ps1 as well. the other two are in areas that let you still play on the world map so they were better points.

I steal from boss fights cause 1: they got that good loot 2: If you steal the weapon first, they're just gonna do weak punches 3: if you steal their armor, they're weaker And 4: money money money 💰💰💰🤑

In chapter 3, the battle against Wiegraf in Orbonne Monastery, he has a Crystal Helmet, the 3 Knights at Riovanes Castle also randomly has a chance to spawn with Crystal Helmets too. Sure, it is buyable later, but not during the early parts of Chapter 4 yet. Would you say it is worth trying to steal these early Crystal Helmets?

Hmm that is a good question. I could have mentioned it in this video as well as Milleuda's power gauntlet but for me I want to say no? Unless you love Samurai and Knights I say. Lol. I love heavy armor but I think it falls off at this point. I still say it is up to the individual though I think someone in the comments said they just steal everything lol

in my most recent playthrough, I used Final Fantasy Hacktics 'The Lion War' mod for the best of both versions and a lot of QoL features. I also used FFTpatcher to modify the poach rewards to give some of these rare items...*whistles badly*
