The gacha is not too bad. As long as you have good weapons to start, it's negligible. The # problem so far is stamina; the drop rate is atrocious combined with so many different grinds is going to burn people out.

The funny thing SE said "Global launch" yes its available in US including Canada and of course Japan, but no SEA. Looks like SEA will wait for 1.5 year again.

If a game is going to last for a long time, it's never too late. I jumped in on Arknights after its 1 year Anniv. 2 years later, still playing the game and I practically have every single unit in the game. The only question is, how long is this game going to last?

Man, I've been trying this, I love FF7, but something isn't clicking. Theres not enough character to the game to make up for the blatant monetization. I don't begrudge them that, every FF game except DFFOO is ridiculous, but the game just seems to lack a soul.

Its a mix for me. I feel some nicer side of SquareEnix in it, really, but the Applibot mobile game annoyances and almost... robotic? Is that the word?... robotic design from the combat to UI to daily activities is still apparent. Better than NieR Reincarnation, but they don't seem to have it in them to make a truly impressive mobile gacha game. Yet there's still some fun in here, the scenes are cute (but not enough; large parts of Midgar have clearly been omitted or shortened, and I can only hope its for them to buy time to make more low-res cinematics they can plot mid-campaign later as integrated side stories), the music is mostly great, and its one of the ..kindaaa more.. enjoyable co-op I've had in these games that often start with constant multiplayer crashes, disconnections, bugs. But there's the nagging feeling that they were not really ambitious with this one, and didn't really want to adapt FFVII to mobile form but only saw the dollar signs. Even FFVII Remake you could tell that many involved were certain that if they were going to make a FFVII AAA game, it was going to be worth it. Not sure if this game is worth it (not $ but creativity), yet.

Been playing the game on LDPlayer with 8 cpu cores on PC, and it's been running smoothly Also It is weird how it's only FF7, but they'll probably do the what if stories with remake's ghosts after going through the 3 main stories. So there's room for the game to keep going for as long as it's profitable.

They seemed to communicate that Ever Crisis isn't anything of a purist remake of FFVII either. Just yet another take, one that isn't Remake and has more material to reflect the original game instead of a frequent underlying twist. This take may have a main story/campaign option that is 90% like the original experience or rather cutscenes... but beyond that part, I think its probably more appropriate to understand it as at least a third new world after FFVII&Comp and FFVIIR games. I'm personally bracing it for being even more open about time travel (boom, Zack event running right now) and maybe alternate timelines, something FFVIIR may try to be relative more tepid or brief about, despite FFVII's ending. If this mobile game story shenanigans is too much for you, de-canonize it and stick with FFVIIR. If even that is a pain in the ass to you since you just wanted the most straight remake, well you'll have personally de-canonize this and to stick with FFVII itself. Ever Crisis might be the "let's be the most wacky about it all" concept that even if it doesn't work, its just a gacha so they can shut it down and even pretend its stories were some weird alt-take that won't be referenced any time in the future. If it does work, then its a substantial companion piece they they may even either adapt/remake an offline version or at least an offline app to watch the cutscenes until it becomes incompatible with OSes (like the current state of Kingdom Hearts' gacha). (TLDR: it'll be both more faithful than Remake in some of the core campaign plots, but might end up wackier than ever, maybe by far.)

The game runs way more horrible for me on BlueStacks so I have to play it on phone. I wish devs would learn from Hoyo's success already, which in part is definitely due to the fact their games also have PC clients.

HoYoverse games definitely feel like the best and most polished gachas on the market by a country mile at the moment (Genshin and HSR at least, can't speak for HI3). Graphics appear good, but just from looking at it there seem to be so many garish banner advertisements and constant menu driven navigation that it's like "yep this is definitely a mobile game first". I might still give it a try since it's FFVII but I doubt I'll spend anything.

Not worth if they are this persistent on the IP block, even other games that has region restrictions just make them not avail on app store but get a copy of the game and you will be available to play it even without VPN, this is too much work to prevent us SEA from playing

I don't think this game will last long like multiple years but I think it may last up to 2nd anniversary. If the game is just about those 3 games then at some point it'll run out of content and will have to rely on either original content or maybe they add other game related stuff. It's a good game nonetheless.

@@internetgoat4831 again, the difference is the target of the game, opera Omnia never targeted a specific part of the franchise, it added charachters from all over the franchise, this one is specifically targeting FFVII and its story branches, hence why the game is called Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis. There's only so much you can milk out of FFVII, I wouldn't give it more than 3 years personally.

Instead they decided to focus on a single universe (yes, a big one with like 4 games and 2 movies but still) thats already saturated and exploited enough.

I was so hype when Square announced this but playing it now it's kinda boring. Still prefer Honkai 3/Star Rail, Genshin, PGR, Aether Gazer type of playstyle. A big miss to just create a new FF mobile game with gameplay like those. I'll wait for Persona 5x i hope its good.

TBH, I'm already bored with the game. The graphics are nice but it isn't enough to keep me interested. It probably didn't help when they bombard you with so many things you can buy right after you finish the tutorial. I know it's a free to play game and they have to get their money somehow, but still... not a fan.

To me.. it would be much better if it was a overall FF game and not just FF7... also it should have characters, not weapons.... getting a new weapon feels ok.... but never as cool as getting a new unit. (it would be fine having both...but characters are a bigger selling point_

if by going nuts you mean either rushing it for the rewards (whales mostly) or ignoring it since it's a) Too hard if you are f2p b) A permanent mode that you can take your sweet time Therefore you can literally ignore it and focuse on rushing this game instead, it won't go anywhere .

No, you don't have character for free, not really, If you don't have any 5* weapon fully upgraded for let's say, Zack, then you "don't" have Zack (he will do next to nothing, basically unusable).. Also, since this is a gatcha, get ready for the event boss that casts a specific debuff that you NEED to remove in order to stand a chance, and this debuff can only be removed by a weapon skill specific to Aerith ....You don't have that particular weapon ...too bad!! But don't worry, it just so happen that we are running a spécial Aerith themed Banner this week ...do you wanna pool?... Hmm? . Lol

@allthatishere Nah, the 5 stars are stat boosts. Just makes the game easier. All the weapons have a blue and purple variant that can be upgraded to gold. And they have the same abilities... mostly.

Don’t diss First Soldier… it was SO GOOD when it first came out!! Everyone’s biggest gripe was that it wasn’t on PC. I miss that game 😢

Not down with the gacha. FFRK was a master of that and after a few years, Square pulled it from the Global servers and nobody outside of Japan could ever play it again. I’m a huge fan of FFVII franchise but I’d quicker play the original ff7 on mobile than this. My wallet would be safe :) In the meantime, Street fighter duel is more appealing at the moment even though it’s a gacha game. Hope someone just posts the storyline highlights.

It's not bad and e FF7 gacha is amazing ,but I un-installed it after a crashed in the game 4 seperate times in menu and 2 times when trying to draw a 10x. maybe I'll give it another shot

Didn't like the game, the battle system is bad and boring,it reminds me of pokemon masters but 10 times worse, Mobius had a better gameplay and people didn't like it,the only reason this game sees play is its name final fantasy 7.
