Nah fr, it foreshadows so much and references several things in OG + CC. The fact that Aerith always sings at the end shows their intent because having her there as the date will let her theme play in the end after she finishes her song when giving a bow to the audience. Her date is also the only one that explains why Jessie, Biggs and Wedge shows up as well...

@@sharynmorgan944cloud was really shy, as well as still unsure on how aerith truly felt about zack. Once she assured him that she was really happy being with him, he let himself get vulnerable and "made a move" by holding her hand with interlocked fingers(which I've heard is a big romantic thing in japan) and they hold onto each other's hands tighter after cloud says something that got "drowned out by fireworks"

It would have been better if he took his gloves off so they could have skin on skin, it would have been more intimate. I was personally disappointed with the gondola date, the play was good but they kept on getting interrupted.

@@sharynmorgan944 Have you seen the part Aerith sings to Cloud with max affinity? They look at eachother the whole song and the way she looks at him at the end! No doubd now. NPTK is Aerith singing to Cloud. The theme song of the game. And the last third of the game is ALL them.

Clerith evidence in the Loveless play (🚨INCLUDES SPOILERS FOR THE ENTIRE COMPILATION SO FAR INCLUDING REBIRTH🚨): - Alfreid (can’t be bothered to check the spelling sorry lol) wields a sword, and no matter who plays Rosa (Tifa or Yuffie), the princess wields a magical staff. Hero is a swordsman, heroine wields a magical staff- remind you of anyone? The heroes of Loveless just like the heroes of ff7 have to work together despite their tragic separation to stop their enemy: Cloud must defeat Sephiroth, simultaneously conquering his problems with his self-image etc, and Aerith must summon Holy to stop meteor. They tell each other this in the final cutscene of Rebirth. - Cait Sith refers to a chance encounter that ends in a tearful goodbye: only Cloud and Aerith encounter this tearful goodbye. Additionally, in the Remake soundtrack, the piece that plays when Aerith and Cloud first meet in the Remake timeline is called “Chance Meeting in Sector 8”. - in the orchestra portion, there’s a few things. One, the hero is blonde and the heroine is a brunette: that’s clerith. Second Jessie has her angel wings and the actor is dressed as a knight: this seems to be a parallel to Baz Lurhman’s Romeo + Juliet film in which the titular couple meet in such costumes (also Juliet is a brunette and Romeo is a blonde), and Hirunobu Sakaguchi (concept creator in the OG game) was such a huge Romeo and Juliet fan (tragic lovers) that he wanted ff7 to be like a dystopian world twist of the play. Then there’s also the dance moves at 4:25, I recommend you slow the video down to follow them: the heroine’s back arches and her arm makes a gesture like something is coming out from her middle, while in front of her the hero clutches his head with horror and pain: Sephiroth’s masamune impales Aerith, shooting out from her middle, and Cloud’s heart is broken, never to be repaired. - Cait Sith refers to Rosa as an indomitable princess, that screams Aerith. She’s so princess and she’s so indomitable lol. Long pink dress, wields magical staff, has a responsibility and duty toward the world (planet) as part of the monarchy (Cetra), graceful yet spunky with tons of character and knows what she wants, sassy as hell, wise yet youthful… that’s Aerith, through and through. - Cait refers to Alfreid as someone who trued very hard to be a hero but failed, which is an arc that Cloud struggles with a lot. First he wanted in SOLDIER and didn’t get in, then he blamed himself for his friends’ deaths, etc. - The demon king Varvados is a clear Sephiroth parallel: he fears true love and wants to foster the hero’s thirst for vengeance (“Good, Cloud. Fill your hollow heart with rage” & before entering the temple he says that spite and sorrow will feed the planet, which I suspect is his goal in the Remake series, aka using Cloud’s strife as some kind of weapon or tool he can use somehow). He refers to Afreid as a puppet, he refers to himself as the master and Alfreid as his cur, obviously he opposes the main hero and heroine… it’s very clear Varvados is a Sephiroth stand-in. - No matter who plays Rosa, the hero and heroine’s parting words heavily echo a certain special scene between Cloud and Aerith in Kingdom Hearts that goes like this… C: It's nothing. A: [Playfully pushy] Hmmm...? C: I don't want you involved. A: You mean you don't want me there when you go away again? C: I just - Listen, even if I go far away, I'll come back. A: Do you mean it? C: [Looks away] Yeah. A: See? You don't look so sure. Well, okay, I understand. Go - get things settled. C: Huh? A: No matter how far away you are... once you find your light... I'm sure it will lead you back here again. Right? C: I suppose. A: So I'll stay here - and I'll cheer for you - Okay, Cloud? C: Okay. The interesting thing is that in the Loveless scene, the heroine is the one who is unsure while the hero is determined, as opposed to the unsure Cloud and steadfast Aerith in the Kingdom Hearts scene. I have my theory as to why that is but that’s too long, all that really matters is in both scenarios the hero is leaving to get something done and the heroine will wait for his return. - Obviously no matter who plays Rosa, Aerith’s own song (written by her) was selected to close off the show. This means what she wrote is representative of the story, and she wrote about Cloud and their tragic fates, fostering the hope that in some eorld they could be together evermore. As she sings the reunion flowers bloom. - Then there’s the fact that if you try to be nice to everyone equally and not favor anyone, or if you favor Barret or Nanaki rather than the girls, Rosa is played by Aerith by default. - When Aerith plays Rosa, she I’m sure I’m missing something too!! This tragic play, an echo of Sakaguchi’s love for Romeo and Juliet, truly highlights the greatness of the love story between Cloud Strife and Aerith Gainsborough, ff7’s power couple. This time I’m certain they will get their canon happy ending; I’m willing to print out this entire comment, put it in a blender with water and chug it so I can literally eat my words if it doesn’t happen. Beaaaaaauuuutiful gorgeous this game had so much good clerith stuff yall they fed us soooooo well in the canon, non-affinity point related scenes. OOOOOF I ate that shit up. Hope you guys enjoy!!!!❤❤❤

They can't stay together (due to the franchise's plot), but they love each other. I think she will live and reunite with Zack and live in another world and he will stay with Tiffa, knowing that they both (Cloud and Aerith) have true feelings for each other, but accepting that they have to move on. And they will be happy knowing that they save each other.

@@francouribe5983 only one couple, zack and aerith, she lost him like cloud lost her, both were robbed of time,diference is aerith moved on from zack, per AC cloud never did. tifa has always been an optional romance not a narrative one, why would cloud officially be so down over not proctecting aerith if tifa is the one he loves the most ? plus in this game to me is even worse, everyone comemorating a kiss but.....the only reason he did, is because she lied to him

Aerith appears more times as Rosa than not; under her romance route, and under Red's, Barret's, and Cait-Cid-Vincent's routes. and both Red and Barret talk about her to Cloud.

you know what is important ? trailer and credits are canon, and in credits aerith is rosa, and in the trailer they blatantly showed cloud holding the petal, wich means, the aerith high intimacy date is the canon one. as player we can like or ship whoever we like,its an rpg and so far the game allows for either, but in the end of the day the creators need a fixed narrative to move the story to other mediums, and they clearly picked aerith. and lets not forget, they released the trailer a day before clerith day, that was intentional.

@@laniii2404 The Cloti date really just felt like fan service more than anything. It felt pretty awkward, considering Aerith still sings her song for Cloud. It also made Tifa look bad because she lies about talking to Aerith regarding Zack, which implies she did that so Cloud loses interest. When Aerith lies, it makes sense and only confirms she wants Cloud. The only thing I like more about the Cloti date is that they had a meaningful conversation about Jessie.

@@jessielou9138 Although in the end, it is still the song that plays right after Cloud and Aerith say their goodbyes and he makes a promise. So plot-wise, it doesn’t make sense with Tifa as Rosa and Aerith sings it about Zack. She also glances at him when she sings “until I met you” so it’s kind of weird to think anything different. But regardless, these dating mechanics are just for fun and with no significance to the main story. I do think its more convincing that Aerith is the default though. That they both go on these multiple dates, eventually leading up to their very last, and ending in tragedy.

@@nachamu99 that's why I'm saying the song seems to be written to fit both Cloud and Zack, because as you just said, it's odd to have Aerith singing and glancing at Cloud on a gameplay in which Tifa has the max intimacy points and thus they appear holding hands. The oddness can disolve if one simply assumes she's singing about Zack as Cloud and Tifa hold hands, because again, there isn't such a thing as a canon ship in this game yet the developers find ways to make the narrative work regardless of who Cloud pursues romantically or not.

After beating the game and seeing both Aerith and Tifa’s dates, Aeriths just felt more natural to the story for me. The Tifa scene felt a little too fanservicy. Especially when Tifa and Cloud had a great scene in chapter 11.

No, cloud and Aerith are really good friends, they cannot have the romance, the fundamental feeling’s on Cloud differences in between Aerith and Tifa is that, Aerith likes cloud because she saw Zack on Cloud, though she enjoy being with Cloud, occasionally flirting with him, the bottom line still lies her affection on Zack, getting Closer to Cloud will give her false hopes of getting closer to Zack. If there were a kiss, it will ruined the setting that Aerith still miss Zack and wish to see him. However, on the other hand, Tifa doesn’t see anybody else on Cloud, She likes Cloud himself, and want to have Cloud’s attention when they were children, and that’s why when Cloud gave Tifa his “attention”, they can have romantic scenes, like kiss, maybe more in the future 😈

Well... your point of view is valid. I feel somehow deceived, as a player (cloud) since the remake I confess that I loved Aerith and now seeing this is... I don't even know how to explain it, it seems like I saw an illusion, something that didn't exist I always believed that there was something between Cloud and Aerith... even though Aerith thinks that Cloud and Zack were similar, I always thought that this was something that only happened in the initial phase... and that later she really tried to break down your walls and get to know the person. Besides, Cloud did things with Aerith that he didn't do with anyone else... with her he was better @@nan-3082

@@nan-3082 couldn't agree more. Aerith sees Zack in Cloud and I think that's why she likes Cloud - the way he walks, the way he carries himself, all reminds her of Zack. Even though I absolutely love it even if she ends up with Cloud, I think it's not as authentic love as between Tifa and Cloud

Aerith moved on. She even called Zack nothing important in this scene. Aerith and cloud are soulmates and this game is basically about the love for each other that could never be. Luckily both have back up plans which still make them happy tifa and Zack.

Imo I do believe zack did love aerith and not just because he was a flirt lol he was always thinking of her and same as aerith, she fell hardly for him. I mean aerith isn’t dumb enough and would go play pretend if so your emplying that zack played her lol. I just prefer they're dynamic its just warm and happy. I'm glad they meet again in heaven.

@@James-sn5mg Then you might be wrong. In AC he was always loyal to Aerith and even after she was gone, he never wanted to flirt with anyone including Tifa. He hopes he can meet her in the promised land, so he leaves the 7th heaven without telling Tifa anything and starts looking for the promised land, eventually learning that it's the lifestream itself: "The promised land... I- I think I can meet her there." Ofc the action might take a different route but I highly doubt that.

This was HER stage, HER play, HER role, and the entire sequence should've been for HER alone. And she's not necessarily dead - her body still hasn't been shown AFTER the plate collapse to prove it. Just because someone says something doesn't necessarily make it true. They could only be speaking from what they THINK is true. But until a visual, physical post-collapse reveal of Jessie's body is provided, she can still be alive & return in Part 3. Anyone who thinks differently has forgotten Rufus in the OG and how he was clearly portrayed as dead after Weapon's attack until AC revealed otherwise. The same can easily happen with Jessie.

Huh it just occurred to me the thumbnail used is almost shot for shot the same as a (pretty sure it was fan art but don't quote me on it) picture used for Aerith's date in TFS's FF7 Abridged series... Maybe somebody at Square watched it and thought that was a great shot 👀

it's ok :) this was very romantic, keeping in mind the real Cloud is shy and awkward. And if they were to kiss in ff7 part 3 it would make it all the more special.

@@BosuaTFT did you watch all of the ending? because there are a lot of clues that suggest otherwise: *SPOILERS ahead* - - - - 1. proof of multiple timelines/worlds/realities (the dog mascots, there are about 4 different breeds) 2. the white whispers that appear around Aerith's body 3. the rainbow aura appears around them when Cloud successfully blocks Sephy's attack (Creating a new timeline) 4. Cloud walks into that rainbow portal around Aerith after fighting Sephy and wakes her up (Confirming she is alive in that new timeline) 5. Red can still sense Aerith's presence, Cloud says goodbye to Aerith (she doesn't go on the tiny bronco with them) suggesting she is real and can walk around, not a ghost that will follow Cloud everywhere

@@elizadoolittle9657 Thanks for the explanation man, and it's a relief to hear that she might still be alive... but again, all of those are just theories, myths,... no one knows for sure if she's still alive or not. But anyway, I think despite her death to be sorrowful, it kinda adds more weights to the story, to make it more emotional and meaningful.

I'm not a Cloti or Clerith fan and I don't care who Cloud chooses but why Cloud didn't kiss Aerith is because of two reasons: 1) He found out that she's his friend's girlfriend, Zack's girlfriend. 2) Cloud and Aerith met not that long ago. It's only has been matter of days since they met in sector 7 while Cloud and Tifa known each other for over 20 years. lolz

Where Cloud and Tifa both admitted they hardly talked even though they lived next door to each other, you claim you’re not a Cloti or Clerith but you sure seem like a Cloti to me. Cloud and Aerith have feelings for each other, Marlene even told Zack Aerith has feelings for Cloud and he was mature about it and accepted it and Aerith is no one’s property she can love who she wants.

Cloud and Tifa have known each other, but they don't know each other at all. Childhood neighbors and Cloud's false persona is based off of Tifa's assumptions about Cloud's personality. But Part 3 will explain this very plainly for those who still don't understand.

That kiss was honestly superficial. Plus it felt like the "cool guy Zack soldier" persona kissing Tifa, not Cloud "himself". Cloud himself was present with Aerith, hence why them holding hands has far more significance, especially due to the fact Cloud is wrestling with the fact Aerith flat pit told him not to fall in love with her, despite his objections. He is also being compared to Zack, which is also bruising his ego. So for Cloud to finally have that intimate moment with Aerith shows true character progression and even when sense in regards to the context of the story, given Cloud's emotional state. Even Cloud with Yuffie had more of a peek into his real personality

Yes, he kissed her in the OPTIONAL scene (not canon) and he kisses her after Tifa lied and says something to conflict him more. It's a rebound Kiss....and not canon. Glad it's optional cause it'll make Cloud look like a douche..kissing Tifa despite having feelings for Aerith, but kissing someone isn't new at Japanese games anime, I remembered the protagonist of Classroom Elite and Oshi no ko, kissing their tools.
