It's a very tough boss fight, no doubt. It's all about the set up if you're struggling with the combat timing. Regen, haste, bravery etc. Then as soon as he hits "the end is nigh" just spam focus thrust and sorcerous storm to get the stagger before the octoslash comes in

It's hard mode, aka NG+, you can use all sorts of costumes, even the one from the Gold Saucer play

Basically all your characters must have these materia equipped to them - HP UP, MP UP, Healing, Revival, Prayer, Steadfast Block and Precision Defense The following materia above are essential to your characters. Next up is the other useful materia that will help you are the magic elemental materias namely wind, fire, ice and lightning combined to an elemental materia for either defense or elemental advantage attack. To make fights easier depending on your enemies. Next is for the characters that have reprieve ( kind of a like a safety net ) Equip it to them but sadly nanaki, yuffie and barret don't have them. Other useful materias are the stat boosting ones like Strength up, vitality up, luck up and the like. But in general you must have those 7 materias in all your characters, depending on whether there will be solo fights you can change prayer to Chakra materia and the elemental attack or defense advantage. And lastly it is entirely up to you, but before hard mode if you can you should get the götterdamerung before starting hard mode to make the hard mode playthrough a bit easier and faster! Edit: I almost forgot, you can also link magnify to a healing materia on a or the character of your choice for emergency heals

I see you also have some upper tier abilities (from playing hard mode I guess) as well@@Eze460 Also, funny he didn't do the Octaslash move, wonder if that's blockable. Might I add, even with the same loadout you recommend I couldn't beat Sephirot in normal mode... until I figured out it's almost scripted boss fight, only one or two ways to beat him, really. you absolutely need to save your ATB charges to heal after his most damaging attacks. Other than that, it's about wearing him down, avoid getting hit as much as you can and build your ATB/LB charges for the few openings you have.

Yeah like several phases with stupid long cut scenes. This boss sucks throwing out heartless angel then immediatly one shotting you oh and when i had a random team that didnt work for bahamut i had to reset fron previous 2 phases this game sucks.

I don’t think difficulty trophies have a place in the gaming industry. It prevents players with accessibility issues from trophy hunting. Most modern games are moving away from practice. Not saying to remove the difficulty, just not lock the trophies behind it.
