I take an in-depth look at FFVII Rebirth. Did Square Enix take all of the lessons learned from Remake and apply them to the development of Rebirth or is this just another standard open world game? Let's find out!

You deserve more subscribers. The quality and effort put in here is extraordinary. Also, kudos to you for review games through a religious lens. It might not be popular, but it's refreshing and an angle I appreciate seeing. A few nitpicks about the review if you're open to it. 1) the comment about stunning goes with synergy abilities isn't necessarily true in all cases. Unless you're referring to a literal pause in the monster's animation, then maybe it is true. But I know I've used synergy abilities on enemies and it surely didn't stagger all the time unless their pressure gauge was pretty full to begin with 2) recommend playing on hard mode if you haven't yet. it really makes you think about the combat and making sure you optimized your load outs. I'm also curious what you thought of the VR challenges. The brutal ones especially are rough. 3) while I'd normally be on board with criticizing DEI stuff in games, I really don't see it as an issue here, at least in terms of analyzing it's inclusion in terms of an agenda. The fact that there's only two subtle examples tells me SE wasn't forced to shove it down our throats like most Western developed games do now. It at least feels believe or even humorous here. Like I lol'd at the first example and didn't even notice the second one. I get why you include it as part of the review, and appreciate it for awareness because I'm becoming more critical of games with overt inclusion as well. I just don't think it's fair to put this on the same level as something like Horizon Forbidden West or Spider-Man 2.

Thank you so much! I appreciate it! I’m always open to constructive criticism so I’ll definitely take your comments into consideration. 1. In terms of synergy abilities as far as I know if you landed one on an enemy it would interrupt their attack and give you a little breathing room. 2. I’ve considered it but I’m not sure I want to go through that exercise in masochism. At least in my case lol! I would like to platinum the game, though since I enjoyed it so much so we’ll see. 3. I understand in this case the agenda was very subtle and understated. However, I feel that I need to make people aware of it regardless. For me I don’t appreciate seeing it in any capacity especially when the Japanese culture is much more traditional and hasn’t succumbed to western ideology. As a Christian I view such things as objectively sinful and wrong but I do understand where you’re coming from. To your point it’s nothing like the agenda being pushed in a game like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. So I don’t necessarily want to blow it out of proportion and say the game is super woke or anything. I just wanted to call attention to it.

This should be the standard for all Final Fantasy games to come. The pace of the combat. Being able to switch in between party members on the fly. Plus once you open the menu the combat slows down not stop. To give you enough time to cast the right sells. The environment is so beautiful. Now you can interact with it. Climbing and swimming are now apart of things now. This game is a master piece. FF17 needs to play like this.

@@Redjay7 Very true, but "you guys" are just a "SMALL MAJORITY".

Your review was going great until you decided to complain about a couple of background npcs who are in a gay relationship. It's such a minor element that its inclusion in your review does nothing but alienate you from a large section of your potential viewership. Better to have not said anything and had no one the wiser than to say something and let people know your bigotry. 😢

Agreed. I was on board with the review until this weird shit came up. Hilariously because it is two very small npc moments that are easily missed but he made a huge deal about it because the gays did him so dirty by being there.

Dude I didn’t even notice the gay relationship. I was so into the game. Little shit like that didn’t matter. The only thing that was a problem. Was all them stupid ass mini games.

Whether or not it was a minor inclusion in the game is irrelevant. I felt that it was my duty as a Christian reviewer to point out the LGBT elements as subtle as they may be. I’m well aware that my views on things will not be widely accepted on this platform and will turn some people away but that doesn’t bother me. I believe that homosexuality is sinful and wrong as The Bible says. Having a different belief and worldview from you isn’t bigotry. I would suggest based on your comment that you are harboring some bigotry and prejudice towards beliefs different from your own.

Loved your review besides you crying like a Karen over the gay stuff. You said you were 32 so grow up. God said love not hate.

Criticizing an aspect of a game isn’t crying. If you watched the video I stated it was subtle but it was still included so I felt it was necessary to call out and express my frustration as minor as it was. I never stated my age in any of my videos which tells me you’re just mindlessly ranting. The Bible says that homosexuality is an abomination. We are to love the sinner but hate the sin. God detests sin. I disagree with the inclusion of LGBT content but it still didn’t affect my overall review score.

@Redjay7 I watched the whole thing and loved it. It wasn't until the part where you were like omfg gay stuff Im definitely putting this in my review. It had a very "I want to speak with the manager " vibe 🤣. I'm not gay but it's people like you who make me ashamed to call myself a Christian. Live and let live. I'm sure you do many things that others god included would detest. Thou shalt not judge. Stay in your lane. You are very talented, but a great review like this shouldn't be stymied by bigotry. It's disgusting, and the world detests it.

From your comment I couldn’t even tell you were a Christian. No one is perfect but there’s nothing wrong with recognizing sin. Yes Jesus talked with everyone but He didn’t say live and let live. He said to go and sin no more. All I was trying to say was that it’s annoying how it’s always included in just about every piece of media these days. He also says remove the plank from your own eye before removing the speck from your brother’s eye. It’s not bigotry. It’s sad to see “Christians” like you who say don’t say anything and just move on. We are to be in the world but not of it. We shouldn’t sit idly by and watch the world fall deeper into evil. At the end of the day it was a short clip and had little bearing on my review.

@Redjay7 if you are such a Christian fundamentalist. Why are you playing this or any game??? Notice all the idolatry? Those summons you collected were other religions Gods. You said nothing about that. Is it fun to call yourself a real/true Christian? You pick the Bible apart and choose what you want to adhere to. That is the most disgusting part. Stay in your basement away from a world that confuses and scares you. 🤣
