Okay, so THREE attacks can break the "9999 damage" cap. Those attacks are Eden with full boost, Quistis' Shockwave Pulsar AND Boko's ChocoBocle attack - but only if he's more than level 83, which is only possible by using a PocketStation to level him up in the Chocobo World game.

If you understood what squall's name meant you could kind of figure out from the information given in KH. He wasn't able to protect those he cared for from the heartless so he abandoned the name, and squalls last name is actuall LEONHART and it always HAS been. his weapon has always been LIONHEART.

Actually none of you can read, the reason it took Omega so long to use Megiddo Flame was because the battle speed was lowered drastically.

As for the EASIEST way to get Aura magic, there is only ONE enemy in the entire game that you can DRAW Aura from (Playstation Edition, anyway) and that is Seifer on Disc 3. But, with Tonberry's Call Shop and Haggle, Sell High and Familiar abilities, you can buy Hypno Crowns from Esthar Pet Shop and those refine into Aura Stones (1:10) with Siren's Tool-RF.... These can then be refined into Aura magic (1:1) with Supt-Mag RF. Simple as that.

I genuinely get excited when I see your squall do a lionheart. Well done, you did so well in that fight ^-^ it's been years since i've played this but you must've spent hours kitting yourself for that. Getting to level 100 was easy, farming the dark matter was not so easy :P

@Veari Or you know you have enough Holy War Drinks. That was my strategy so many years ago. Aurastones+Holy War Drinks. I am however mystified as to why anyone would use anything but AP Ammo at this stage of the game.

Well Eden counts as a summon rather than a player attack in my opinion, but; yes, it can break the damage limit quite easily as well. Besides getting shot through space by a gigantic beam-cannon blast into an exploding galaxy only doing up to 9999 would be kinda ridiculous.

good fight and cautious, i killed "Ente Omega" with Irvine help, using "Balas antitanque" and it's almost as "súmmon" or "Lion heart" power and does not need luck, is faster than "Balas ionicas" or "Pulse Ammo".

I don't know if you would consider this as a cheap tactic, but if a character takes damage while summoning a GF, the GF will be the one taking the damage. Knowing this, what you can do to avoid (or smoth) Terra Break oblideration is to summon a GF whose affinity is not good (it takes longer to summon it).. Knowing Omega's atack pathron, you should know when it will use Terra Break. So when it is about to use it, summon that GF to take the damage and die in your character's place

im in the same boat mate and pretty much match the ages lol , i will finish this game before i die!! its probably the first game i ever really fell in to . everything about it is perfect. one thing that sticks in my mind even to this day is the music for balam (hope thats right) garden.

My tactic was using Quistis to cast her Mighty Guard and White Wind limits to heal and protect everyone while she was in aura. Meanwhile Zell and Squall just sat and used their limits and I killed it on the second try. But I've got to say, I was distinctly diappointed afterwards - he didn't even get round to using Terra Break on me. Moral of the story? It's no fun when you make it too easy for yourself.

tbh, if you can raise all 3 characters vitality stat to around 200 ish then you can survive with around 2000ish hp per character

all enemies level up with you...so that may not be your best shot.

The End works on any boss in the game, but at the cost of not getting Proof of Omega or anything else. It's much better AND honorable to fight him, plus try and do it how he's doing it.

I use Rinoa + invincible skill, or comet attack that is powerful enough... Squall with Lion Heart and Zell with Duel... sometimes i give it the invincible med that i've gained from Laguna card... and that's all ;)

Extraordinary :) !!!!!!!!!!! You Totally handed Omega Weapon's Ass to him Rotisserie Style !!!!!! And as you can probably tell by my KZfaq screen name, Final Fantasy VIII is my #1 most favorite Final Fantasy game of all time. And Squall is my most fav Final Fantasy character out of all the Final Fantasy games characters.

@yamibalus Even in the guide it says that you must put 100 death magic on the defense so omega weapon wont kill them easily.......just equip all that stuff and see how easy you can kill him.....although omega weapon WAS indeed very slow for a hard boss.......that i do have a problem.

Interesting, these 255 stats drew my attention. Loaded up my old save. Tried 100 Meltdowns on Vitality and Vit+40%, no way on Earth I got 255. Anyway I feel proud enough to have Omega Weapon beaten at lower stats. Hard play.

Great effort in beating it, I didn't even know it is possible without using the cheap ways. Most people will have a real hard time just to survive the mighty TERRA BREAK. My party never survived the TERRA BREAK yet, it's instant game over T_T. I think it's Omega's best attack since it instantly kills multiple or all characters. The rest of its attacks are still okay.

@xxNoctisLucisxx You sound like my friend. I actually found beating it rather easy, provided Rinoa could take a hit for the last boss. Omega weapon wasn't easy, but it wasn't so bad. Like Ultima, the thing's default is insanely fast, though. Getting mega to show was the true challenge. That, and getting all the rare cards....

Why did you attack with Irvine sometimes instead of using his limit break to shoot the ammos? I think it would lower your time even more. I've only beaten Omega once by fighting one on one with Squall (Hero + Aura), the other 2 were dead due to TERRA BREAK. One more question, what is the number of hits for TERRA BREAK? Is it actually fixed or does it change every attack? Thanks for sharing :)!!!
