Don't know..but they did say they plan on going back and remaking all of there older FFs depending on the reception from VIIR. VIII and IX seems like the next logical step.

I take it that when she starts talking, her HP is at 0, so you don't need to do anything devastating anymore. Just little slaps until she stops

Hi Fated, first of all thank you for all your incredible work. We're lucky to have guys like you because Square doesn't seem to care too much about their ports. Secondly, is there any way to remove the "lagginess" seen while you're going through the different save file pages at the beginning of your video, which is also present in all the menus in general, and every time you scroll between pages. I don't remember that being present on the PS1 verison. Is that because of the FPS?

You're welcome. Though, I don't do all that much compared to others. I agree that Square pretty much botches a lot of their ports. At this moment, I don't think there is. Be nice to have one, though. It could probably be the FPS. From what I know it's 60FPS in the menu, 30FPS on the field, and a lousy 15FPS in battle on PC. The PSX version is, I believe, 60FPS in the menu and 30FPS for everything else. So battles will always feel a bit choppy and less responsive. I don't know if the menu is laggy or if the alternating FPS is messing with my own timing. :P Plus some sound effects are not timed properly in the PC version. So...botched port.

16:14 Mobius Final Fantasy is going to launch a collaboration with FF8, they released a trailer using The Extreme as BGM and Ultimecia's dialogue from this final battle. I'm excited! ❤

Nice vid! I especially like the HD models for Squall and Irvine, Rinoa's eyes look kinda creepy, though... Are the mods only working with the Steam release or also with the old disc-based release from 2000? Because I still have them and it'd be cool to "polish" them a little.

+Katharina Kumli There are actually two versions of Squall. I just prefer this version. Rinoa's eyes are about the only nitpick I have, too. I swear her eye color is black or charcoal. Not purple-ish. Sadly, only the Steam version at this time. I understand why you'd like that. Shunsq is currently working on his own way of importing characters into the game and he seems to be making a lot of progress. Perhaps he'll be able to make that work for the discs version as well.

It was something added in the English release. She didn't speak in any sort of unorthodox manner in the original Japanese script.

Seriously you didn't use Squall?? Edit: Nevermind! I never really got to appreciate Rinoa, I was always using the team of Squall/Zell/Irvine. But damn, she has moves I had no idea were so good!...makes me want to pick this game up for the first time in 16 years and play it again!

Awesome vid I really loved this game. However I would not really call the gfx HD seems like just upscaled original gfx if you ask me but still a great vid for a very great game.

A lot is upscaled to HD, yeah. With minor tweaks here and there. Be great to have an artist for a complete rework though!

No. The Ultimania and Yoshinori Kitase stated that Ultimecia and Rinoa are not the same person.

I beat this final boss on my first try without dying once.....all you need is Holy wars. Thats when i knew for sure this game was ass.

It isn't that easy to get Holy Wars, and you don't even need to use them is you don't want to. Did you fight Omega or Ultima Weapon? The end boss isn't the hardest boss in the game, and just having Holy Wars doesn't guarantee victory against Omega Weapon.
