I'll admit that one of my least favorite parts of RPGs is not only turn based combat, but random encounters. So it was my huge surprise that even after all of FFX I still hadn't had enough of this amazing song. It still pumped me up no matter how many encounters I ran into and how monotonous the fights might have ended up being. It's interesting to me that you know for all of these normal battle themes, Uematsu knew he had to make something that simply would not get old which really shows his genius since he was able to do it multiple times.
This week was tough as I had to churn this cover out around three days in a row of painful dental work and then having Smooth McGroove out to visit after that. Smooth, Adriana, and I had a great time exploring San Diego but it was important for me to make sure I could get this done around all of that. This arrangement was actually started by me grabbing the arrangement I did in 2016 for the Top 10 Battle Themes medley and essentially trying to extend it. These days most of the time goes into the arrangement process so it was nice to only have to worry about extending a previous arrangement this time around. Everything is re-recorded though, I used no audio from the original arrangement as I knew that I could play it way tighter this time around. I also didn't really try to force in a solo or anything fancy, I just decided to have some fun with the chords toward the end but then keep it pretty straight.

This battle theme might be my favorite one in any Final Fantasy game so it was so fun to put together a full cover of this for you. Thanks so much for watching! Well for me, you dont smile anymore if you play. You look serious since you change your apartment. Also i miss all this posters. - But i like that you work together with others now. Specialy this cover with Caleb Hyles was great. - My big dream would be, seeing you with Tom Shapira together. That would be wonderfull. - To this cover itselves: Amazing. I just play Final Fantasy 8 right now, but i seen Final Fantasy 10 in some gameplays and know the music. I allready buyed it on Steam, but my PC is to weak for it.

PS2, PS3, PS4, PC and now XBox One. If there comes a day I end up with a Switch, I will get it on there too. Thats how much I love Final Fantasy X. The game that defined my childhood and upbringing. One day I will have played and beaten it on every platform it was made for. One day.

Hell playstation 2 emulators exist on Android now. With a current good phone (2020 or newer) you can emulate FFX at a decent framerate

The soundtrack for Final Fantasy X is my third favorite in the entire franchise only behind 6 and 7. This was a fantastic cover. I look forward to your next FFX cover Jules (hoping that it's a character theme since FFX has my favorite group of character themes in the franchise)

This is a such a beautiful arrangement for a battle theme. FFX mixes from jules always have the best sound and the best way to go about a metal remix. All of his covers over the years have been very good to my ears as Iisten. It's so good man. Keep it up from one musician to another

FFX is THE game for me. It got me into Final Fantasy. It got me into *video games*. It got me into JRPGs. It got me into music. It basically opened the world of gaming to me entirely.
