Never say sorry or apologizing for crying, pure moment, and when I played this game for the first time I was crying rivers too!

"Never forget them" and Suteki Da Ne coming in is truly top tier for me. That's when I lost it tbh.

The ending is so well structured... First you defeat Jecht, Tidus' father, then you have to let Auron go, next in line are aeons leaving and then fayth stop dreaming and all the dreams dissolve, including Tidus. The scene on the airship is unbelievable, you simply can't hold it after this whole sequence. And when you finally think it is all over and at least some good came out of this when Tidus high fives Jecht? Then Yuna whistles for Tidus on the pier in Luca. And if you somehow managed to hold up to this point, this is heartbreaking - we all know he won't respond to her whistles. The whole speech is well structured too - "Now we can make ... new dreams." pints out the old dreams (Tidus). Then Yuna looks back at the party, Wakka approves in like "You did well, Yuna" only for her to turn around and "... or the dreams that have faded" - flashback - "Never forget them." Up until the end, we are constantly reminded and affirmed this is how the journey ends. The ending is totally and unbelievably well crafted and after wiping all the tears, you have to admire how they executed it.

Don't worry that was me when I beat it in 2002 or 2003 when I was 19 or 20 and I'm a guy too. This is easily one of the saddest endings in video game history

First Tidus has to kill his estranged dad then watch the man who raised him die then he himself fucking disappears. This ending is repeated emotional damage

I also cried like a baby when finishing this game for the first time, I sometimes still cry just watching the ending. And also no need to apologize, these games are designed to make us cry. But I think and I suggest strongly that you need to finish X-2 if you want to have a resolved heart from this story. 🤣

I swear I remember finishing this game like it was yesterday. I had finally SOMEHOW pulled myself back together for her ending speech, and then when she says, under her breath “or the dreams that have faded” I swear I sobbed so loudly that you would have thought I was mourning the actual death of a loved one…which I suppose I kinda was. I love how so many people are bound by the feelings we have for this games ending. You cannot escape the feels.

One of the most beautiful pieces of media ever created imo. When I played this game in 2002 it absolutely floored me and still does. One ending has beaten it though...Lightning Returns

It just shows that ffx is the craziest and singularly effective rollercoaster of emotions. I'm glad you embraced them 🤗

I was blubbing my eyes out like a little bitch when I first finished this game in 2001. I was 13 though so not surprising. Still one of the best games I've played. Even watched most of the credits whilst I tried to figure out what I'd just watched haha.

Seeing Sam, a grown man, cry at the end of FFX validates my ugly vocal crying as a girl 🥺😭 I never played a video game until a friend dared me to play FFX ....I just had no idea that a game could pull me in so much 💔

We lost too many for defeat the SIN！And WE did it！ But at that moment I really hope SIN is not dead I really wanna tidus and yuna can go to the zanarkand together.

great video. I'm ok until Tidus starts to fade... then I am trying not to cry when Yuna falls through him... just lying there... not wanting to get up... wondering why she should get up... then she says those three words... I'm inconsolable at that point
