20 years later, and Yuna's sending ceremony is still one of the greatest video game cutscenes of all time. The music, the scene composition, the juxtaposition of her beautiful dance against the heartbroken cries of the surviving villagers. Just amazing.

If I remember correctly, tidus said the same thing. "The sending, it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, and I wished I would never have to see it again." The depth behind every moment, even in simple lines as this , couples with masterful voice acting for the first time is what etched this game into our hearts I think.

Well they werent that far with FFXV, i mean.. about making a wonderful scene, cuz FFXV had an amazing scene SPOILER: when Noctis meets Luna on the "limbo" after Luna dies and Noctis faints. That scene is incredibly beautiful, just to bad that the games overall story, storytelling and gameplay were crap, but that scene in special was as beautiful as the scenes of FFX (and FFX is my favorite game of all). At least thats what i think.. but i think that maybe the scene im saying can be more comparable to the final scene of FFX since they are both taking farwell in both games, even tho one does it in the middle of the game and the other one in the end.
@lucasromerova61506 жыл бұрын
I totally agree that scene was beautiful, despite Luna's character being well not used that much. That scene... and the ending scenes!
@belias3606 жыл бұрын
Nyanmaru Unlocked No. There was nothing artful or great about that scene. Half of it was copied almost scene for scene from Aerith's death. As for their last conversation, it was more of Luna being, yet again Noctis' dedicated waifu with no real personality or wants of her own that has nothing to do with him. The game tried really hard to make players care for someone who did almost nothing, who had zero chemistry with the guy we're supposed to believe she's in love with, when their relationship comes across more as a king and his retainer than two peers. FFXV < FFX.
@bastrixer5 жыл бұрын
So true, this kind of scene is what define the serie final fantasy, but they totaly lost it after ff12. Ff13 and all the three parts and ff15 its just to much action than it feels like a fantasy game.

Same here. I only bought the game because people on forums recommended it and had a hard time liking it early on because I had no rpg experience. Then this scene took place and I was hooked after that. Still my favorite game.

I only tried playing this game because my uncle recommended it for me as I had no rpg experience before (he had to exaplin certain things to me like the sphere grid) and heel thought it would be a simpler way to introduce me to rpg's. I quite liked the game up to this point but when this scene played it turned from "this is an alright game" into " I absolutely love it"

They might do a X-3. If they did remake the original, and changed anything in the plot, I imagine that it will be something closer to the original idea, where Tidus was unsent, rather than being an aeon. I also heard they're trying to link the X and VII universes together.

Probably the saddest detail about this scene is the woman at 1:33 falling to her knees. Earlier, when Sin attacks Kilika, she was holding a baby, and now it's nowhere to be seen... Yevon claims Sin is punishment for the sins committed by the people of Spira, but what sins could a baby be guilty of?
@FreeSpeech234 ай бұрын
I think it is a punishment for the mother by taken her Baby for her Sin that she committed. Losing someone you Love is the worse Thing that could happen to somebody who sinned. Good eye for Details, i absolutely forgot about this.🤝🏻

For all who are seeing this scene out of context, this is effectively a funeral. All those orbs leaving the caskets, those are souls. Unlike our world, souls often need to be pushed, or sent, from the living plane. Otherwise, they become monsters known as fiends and rise again to terrorize those still living.

This is genuinely chilling, got to this part yesterday and there’s something about this that makes it genuinely one of my favorite moments of any game I’ve played. It might be the music, yunas dance, the crying of the citizens, or the visuals but something made just sit there in sheer aw with silence and made me become emotional (which I usually don’t become when playing games except in a few instances like this one), thank you square

The scene? It's fine. The game? It could've used more work it looks worse than PS2. :/ So many goofy design differences and issues. I would've rather than did a 1:1 remake with graphics that match the CG. But given how awful X-3 audio drama was and how they couldn't help make some dumb meta sequel in the "remake" of FFVII, I'd rather they just release the game in an emulator and not touch anything. Maybe fix the one line of dialog where it's the wrong character saying it.

Man I loved this game so much. 7, 8 and 9 are special obviously along with others, especially as 7 was my 1st game and first one I completed back in 97/98. But FFX was a fucking master piece. Playing it again in the remaster was fun as hell and I won't ever forget how it made you really get into the story and scenario. The emotion, feeling the need to do what they were setting out to do. I miss it, never commited to a game as much as I did FFX. I loved FFX-2 but in a different way. Was awesome. Not a fan of some of the sequel tales though. Parts of them anyways.
