Ripped directly from the US PS2 DVD, then upscaled to 1280x720 resolution and encoded in high quality using x264. The second half of the music was borrowed from the official FFXII soundtrack. The aspect ratio switch at the end has been reworked to fit the 16:9 frame.

one of most patient games. Mine 77+ hours right now I'm still got lastest teleport is Salikawood. Not sure it's reach the half of the game.

It reminds me of a simpler time in life... (Game was very complex back then though, not simple at all!) Shame they only put the music in the Zodiac version. This opening sets the stage. One of the most impressive PS2 games. Fun, long and highly satisfactory. (That's what she said)

It's been what 18 years since this game released? It's always exhilarating to experience and witness the updated mechanics and graphics in the FF series. FF XII was and will remain to be one of the coolest games of the 2000s.

honestly even though the storyline was a bit blah, this was one of the most in-depth, thorough, and adventurous Final Fantasy games ever !!

I came to XII fresh from X and X-2, so I was a bit taken aback by the fact that XII is less of an emotional rollercoaster, but the story has aged really well for me personally as a political drama and a parable about the corrupting influence of power

Being sincerely honest, I am a person who has been playing the Final Fantasy saga for a long time, I played from the original when it was released on December 18, 1987 until Final Fantasy 16 and I can say that this Final Fantasy is the best and with the best intro of the story, simply excellent, thanks for everything Hitoshi Sakimoto, Masaharu Iwata, Hayato Matsuo, Nobuo Uematsu Taro Hakase

The story is not the best but this game’s exploration and adventure feels is on a different level. Even the designs of characters and locations, the music feels so high fantasy and nostalgic. An example is like when you get to golmore jungle and entered the viera village, there’s something magical with the design, music and atmosphere of the place it’s hard to explain that’s why I love this game, and my most favorite ff game even if story-wise it isnt as good as ff10 or 7.

@@NE0FANTASY The intro WAS released online at the same time as the remaster. It's not as good, and the shot of Vaan looking up at the sky was swapped out for some reason.

This was the final fantasy that made me love this series i I remember countless times me and my grandfather played this years ago trying to learn the gambit system 😂

Lol yea man the grind was real. That was whole point of the game , just like in SOTN. Good game . Wish I had the time I use to still I have these memories with me.

This opening makes me wanna boot the game up again. If only Zodiac Age wasnt so incredibly nerfed. Raithwalls Tomb took me 5 minutes in my most recent playthrough. Absolutely horrendous.

@@SamuraiExecutivo They added a class system to the licenses. Before you could essentially make your own class. The stats were also massively buffed. To the point NG+ removes leveling entirely. Weapon stats were buffed as well. Certain fights in the original FF12 were nearly impossible and now they are trivial. Darkmare comes to mind but Belias by far was the biggest letdown. My first playthrough he was so hard but in Zodiac age I basically 1 shot him with water magic from each of my characters. The Flan in the waterway is one that literally soft locked me my first playthrough I had to start all the way over and grind up more levels before I got to that part. In Zodiac age I just fire spammed them and it was over in 2 minutes. NG+ is roughly the same difficulty as the original imo. Because of the license system in the original your characters ended up way more powerful so by the end of the game it was "fairly easy" but Zodiac age starts easy and just gets easier. I cant think of a single fight that was actually challenging. The section on Leviathan was kinda a pain but mostly because its a tedious part of the game. Barheim Passage is another one that soft locked me in the original game. I entered it at like level 9 and it was impossible. I started the game over and ground to like level 13 before I even started the palace section. That made the game somewhat playable. Those kinda things just dont happen in Zodiac age. There is this one fight on Bhujerba where you're supposed to run away but I was able to thrash them instead. Oh actually Bhujerba did have one hard part when there are those stupid leech bats + unlimited skeletons spawn. I can probably list a lot more examples but you probably get the point.

Kinda sounds weird but I was kinda glad they didn't include this into the zodiac age remake 4 ps4 I always took a slight issue with the ff franchise kinda foreshadowing the characters and really the plot with the intro cinematics I wanted to be blind but I never felt right just skipping the intro due to my idiosyncratic nature when playing a game for the 1st time

FF史上最高のオープニング。 FF12ってにオープンワールドでもないのに中途半端にマップが広すぎて面倒くさいのを除けば個人的には最高なんだけどな😅 キャラデザも世界観もストーリーも好きだし、ガンビットシステムも嫌いじゃない。音楽もいい。ただ本当にマップがムダに広すぎてラスダンで投げた😅 尚12以降のFFはやりたくもない。
