no matter how much of a bitch she was, Jihl had some serious potential to be a kick-ass villain. sure, she's a human and doesn't have magic, but just as a person she had some serious villain swag and would've been interesting to fight.

Jihl Nabaat should have been the main antagonist of XIII. Hear me out, there was just so much going on for her. She represents the machiavellianism personality perfectly with her being very intelligent. If she was, then XIII would have also been the first and only Final Fantasy with both a leading female protagonist and a female antagonist. Wasted potential because they both parallel each other perfectly as is. One comes off as cold, heartless, but is really genuine inside while the other seemingly friendly, but is ruthless and sadistic inside.

"Wow, Squeenix created an awesomely sadistic villian! And now I finally get to have a big showdown with her! This is gonna be awesom-" *LOLZERS kill Jihl nao* RAGE

i can't believe she played such a small role. she had a really nice character design -- and no, i'm not talking about her annoyingly distracting bosoms. she had really pretty eyes and facial features imo.

Such a character like Jihl Nabaat had so much potential to be one of the best villains in any FF games. It's such a shame Square-Enix didn't take the time to develop her to her full potential. Hell, I would choose to fight Jihl over that retired pope (Barthandelus) any day.

From the trailers and the demo, I was expecting her to be a more antagonistic character until Dysley offed her... Edit: wow, so she was pushed as this baddie from the trailers, but from what was depicted here, was her under ten minutes of cutscenes.

She was the most vindictive Villian in the game. Such a shame they killed her off. She could have been great.

Final Fantasy XIII had one of the most underwhelming casts, but Jihl was an amazingly interesting character with so much potential. In fact she was so much of an outstanding character in this cast that I would have actually loved to see her in the main cast, as some sort of "frienemy" to Lightning and the others. Making her join Lightning after Dysley betrayed her for the sole intention of taking down Dysley and eventually rising back to power. An anti hero, so to say. Sharing the same enemy with Lightning and the others, but being the only one among the group that cannot be trusted and has a different goal. Would have made Lightning's group a lot more interesting too. Plus, since she's a competent user of artifical magic and can imitate L'Cie Power with technology, it would work out in gameplay too. For her Eidolon she would only need to summon a powerful Sanctum beast instead, like she does in FF XIII-2.

Okay one thing I have to point out. She has a sheath for her baton. I question this.

I loved her character (as sadistic as she was.) There was so much more that could have been done with her development. Instead she just gets zapped in the back.

Ugh. Agreed. Jihl SO should've been 13's main villain. Not that Barthandelus was a bad choice. Just that Jihil had SO much more meat to her than he did. Had SHE been the main villain, and a different story had been used, 13 would've improved EXPONENTIALLY. Plus, as a personal taste, I was waiting for a female protagonist/female antagonist combo in an FF game, but they HAD to go the other way and give us another typical male villain instead.

Jihl was the only character I actually cared about in FFXIII, but too bad her role was so small. Given her ample bosom, the devs could have included a beach scene where she wore bikini to showcase the graphics engine! FFXIII overall was too bland and boring, it needed more exciting things and a beach scene with featuring Jihl or Vanille would have been nice!

ESPECIALLY considering you fought Yaag Rosch like 3 times (bullets and crashing vehicles didn't kill him, but SPOILER onlyanexplosionSPOILER can? I mean, all Jihl took was a Ruin to the back.. -.- You fight all other soldiers (Cid and Yaag), but not her. The only explanation I can think of is that SquareEnix was showing how powerful Barthandelus would be if he can kill a person with a simple ruin spell.

At first when I heard about the DLC of Jihl Nabaat, I was torn. On one hand "Yay I finally get to fight her"! On the other "Why didn't they do this in FFXIII? WTF?" That all changed when I found out that once I beat her in XIII-2, I got the ability to use her IN COMBAT!!! A FF villain fighting WITH ME?!?!?! That was when said "Thank you SE!!!"

She is a hell of a better villain than Dysley! He's so boring and dry. No energy. Just listening to him makes me want to sleep out of boredom. With FF villains you should always be wanting to encounter them no matter how much you hate them. In fact, you should love to hate them and you should be looking forward to their boss fights. I was with Jihl, only to find you couldn't even fight her and as for Dysley...he bored me to tears.

Well, you're in luck! In Final Fantasy XIII-2, there is now a Coliseum DLC to fight her! She is a great Saboteur and is troubling to even a fully-leveled party!

I think since the only weapon shown was a pointer (or was it some sort of sword?) it'd kind of be pointless to fight her (compared to the weapons of everyone else)... ...O.O....then again, they most likely cut her out because she'd probably fight a LOT like Lightning--flipping all over the place and slicing and stabbing things...Yeah, that's probably it (also considering that you fought female Sanctum and PSICOM soldiers, but only MALE Guardian Corps ones (no Light clones))

If 13-3 comes out she'll have opportunity to return, as Valhalla is "timeless". Saying this, although I enjoyed 13-2, and gameplay wise it had some improvements to 13, the storyline made little sense with the original 13, which was thought out very well. Caius was a good villain and some great concepts in the game, but overall the story was poor. Her being killed was a shock, but it wasn't exactly a critical game-defining moment. Another character could've been used to the same purpose
