*DISCLAIMER* I had just finished the HW expansion and after showing me the stormblood trailer, my community wanted my reaction of the expansions we'd already played, having just finished the last patch of HW my heart hurt!!

Fun fact about this trailer? The final chorus of the song is both in English and the language of the dragons. Dragons in this game can communicate through song, hence why this conflict is called the Dragonsong War.

So the big dragon model was actually Hraesvalger’s, due to them not having a cg-ready Nidhogg model in-time for the trailer they just made the model red as a result!

Heavensward with and without DRG leveled is a completely different experience imo, so many moments where Estinien and others acknowledge your feats

You should totally pick up DRG! Not only that, but do HW again on it with New Game+! You'd be surprised by how much dialogue changes if you're a DRG, even several bits of voice-acted dialogue! It's really cool, and I wish they did it again at any point, though they have not to date.

It's the only case where one specific job changes an expansion that much, but in late Shadowbringers and all of Endwalker there are a lot of different dialogue options depending on your job and role completion, as well as how much side content you have done. I can think of dialogue changes invoked by being a healer, having unlocked or max leveled Reaper, having a crafting job, having done custom deliveries, the Ishgard Restoration, having started and/or completed the exploratory zones from Stormblood and Shadowbringers, having completed each of the raid series and trial series, having done the Endwalker deep dungeon, there is even one section in Endwalker where there is additional dialogue for I believe 15/19 of the jobs.

@@elaine_of_shalott6587 Yeah I know, but each of those things are so small. I understand why, but I still wanted something big like HW. And honestly, I think they easily could have done so with DNC in EW, but they did absolutely nothing with it there, not even a tiny reference. Which, of course, made me sad as something of a DNC main. :(

@@KyrialArthian Individually their small, but I feel like they add up. And it is nice to spread around the additional dialogue so almost everyone gets some, rather than a very small portion of the players getting all of it and everyone else getting none.

Two things! First, Dragoon may be called “floor tank”, but they are FUN! Totally recommend. Two, if this is your reaction to Heavensward, which was mine too when I first start a couple years ago, you’ll love Shadowbringers. But make sure you bring a crying towel. Maybe two

Not sure if it was inspired, but the very last scene shows a warrior locking in his helmet. There was a character in the very first Final Fantasy who looked just like him.

I love all the little nod to past and present games with 14! It's absolutely something they really do so so well
