I still mourn Final Fantasy versus 13 because that had potential to be something great what we got was still OK. but now here we are waiting endlessly for Nomura to revitalize his original vision in a kingdom hearts game and inherently it’s not gonna hit with that same level of depth or dark tone as you’re gonna get if it were a Final Fantasy game and not a kingdom hearts game

I saw it and I agree with you whole heartily. Not much can be done anyways since the game was never intended to be a mainline Final Fantasy it was forced to be one and the rush job to get it out the door didn't help any matter. We can't blame Nomura either since the fossils at Enix kept pushing him off the game when it was a side story to work on other projects during the course of its 10 year development. I wonder how the original was and if they had the bonding of the 4 in that I wonder if it would of been way better storywise and with that other girl too. And through it all those fossils at Enix just abandoned the game instead of doing the right thing and finishi8ng the game up. If they gave the team a year probably it might of been better than what it is right now.

Well, with the King Noctis dead, the world ravaged, and no governing body outside of the Kingsglaive, I'm guessing the world was soon overtaken by war as different factions vied for control. It is actually a way bleaker ending than even XVI was. My biggest gripe was that we had already seen the heroic sacrifice in the Kingsglaive movie. The Ringvof the Lucii killed Nyx because he wasn't part of the bloodline. I don't care that Noctis died, but I am extremely bummed out about the world state afterward. The demons were gone, but not the remaining power-hungry people.

Preach!! When the game entered its final chapter I was so confused I never even finished the story. I watched other people beat it online and was disappointed and glad I didn't waste my time. 😂

There was so much lore between the side-scrolling beat em up, anime, movie and DLC but the story still had more holes that cartoon Swiss cheese.

Knowing that this wasn't the true ending kind of saves it for me as a story but not as a game.

Yeah i think the story gotten bad from before we fought leviatan. But the gameplay is one of the best. I also love the brotherhood. We don't know why noct must die and we don't have any explanation of that. But if we compare with ff13, it like heaven and earth. Ff13 is most complex fighting mechanic, story is confusing

I played this game without knowing anything about it. I played all FF games before, so I had very low expectations since personally i felt the games went down after 8 and became slowly worse and worse, XIII being insufferable. But to me XV was a pleasant surprise. A real open world, cool characters, cool music, a ton of older games easter eggs references, i was shocked. Im the begining Noctis annoyed me as he was the stereotypical teenage rebel guy like Tidus, but in the end he learned a lot and became an actual responsible adult, contrary to Tidus. Some stuff are a bit confusing and not perfect but to me it was one of the best FF games

Most of the game falls short. The plot was a mess and incoherent at some point. It's a shame because it really had a lot of potential.

I loved XV's gameplay but the story had so many issues. it felt like the entire thing was spliced neatly apart for selling more dlc and a marketing campaign for a movie, anime, and a bunch of extended universe we didn't need. FFXV's story was unfinished and square knew this... instead of having all these story elements needed in the game... we were left with a lot of ambiguity. because of this, some questions were left unanswered and that ruins the experience. Kingsglave shouldn't exist, they should have had noct there at the treaty with the wedding taking place in insomnia as a ambush trap from niflheim... in fact I am willing to bet my entire chocobo ranch that was the intention when XV was labeled as VersusXIII. so many trailers of noct and company escaping the city during the invasion scene... now insomnia in the game is only a fraction of what was originally promised. Tabata and his team made a massive mistake with the story rewrites, marketing, and overpromising. it would have been AMAZING for noct to try and defend the castle before it was too late... it would have been more impactful for him to see his father be killed by ardyn in the invasion. instead... the game was hellbent on you liking the main four protagonists to carry the rest of the game and sadly... this got old... FAST. We should have had a darker realistic ff game... we should have had the true ending complete in the game... no, the real TRUE ending to the game... is in the light novel Final Fantasy XV: Dawn of the Future... and honestly... it was criminal for Tabata to leave Square Enix before finishing the game with this ending... all to start another crappy japanese mobile game company that went bankrupt two years later after his departure. he may have made some bangers with nojima as his assistant like Crisis Core and Type-0 but still... his talent was half measuring and he abandoned Final Fantasy to bank. RIP VersusXIII...

I have issues all over the place with 15, the story is uninteresting the whole way through, it's just an excuse to be an open world brother hangout sesh. The combat is WAYYYY TOO EASY, like, spam buttons to win, and the ending was balls too. The whole thing was crap imo, I genuinely don't understand why it was so popular. I genuinely think it was just skyrim people like, needing a new game for 10 years and getting hype over the next open world game. IDK, I uninstalled it a few hours before murdering arden, and watched the ending on youtube cause I didn't care anymore. I have played every final fantasy game that has ever come out, and I liked all of them better than this one. Even world of final fantasy.
