@DeadMemes NeedToStayDead FFXV could've been expanded, I don't see the point in making game for 15 years so they could drop it off after a few small dlcs. They could've make a coop, for instance - there are 4 main characters already. Or expanded Ardyn DLC allowing us to play as Ardyn in general FFXV storyline against Noctis - technically the same game but for different character. Expand multiplayer (like how it's done in DS3), character creation, slowly, but surely growing the community & the game to turn it in the end into some MMO. Why not? The hardest part of core development is done, time to play with frameworks.

If you want to be technical: it had a heart attack when agito was changed to type-0, collasped when FF13 had a sequle, and (unknown to us) barried in the ground when verse 13 was changed to FF15.

@@petercampi2840 Books have special preorders and packages all the time. Nothing new there. I remember buying all those fancy book bundles which came with a few neat little trinkets when I was younger all the time. The deluxe bundle for the FFXV novel is basically the same. Just a few art cards thrown in and a fancier cover vs the normal retail edition.

Believe it or not I’ve read a book that had a bunch of extra side stories you could buy for about 5 bucks a pop. To this day the only book I’ve ever read with dlc expansions.

On my native language Bulgarian the words. "trust" and "believe" would be translate with same word,and all this dialogue would sound like nonsence.

@@lazuardialdi2646 Noo!! Books are a million times better than manga! Paragraphs explain much, much more. I don't need artwork, we already have a plethora of that. And besides, while I enjoyed the anime, let's not kid ourselves that the anime was the quality of most other anime, because it wasn't. Take the drawings of the anime and put them in the manga and you have just "okay" artwork, but unnecessary artwork. Novels last longer and that's exactly what this whole series unfortunately suffered from...plot development, more content. Thought bubbles from manga characters are a paltry replacement for paragraphs. And yes, that alliteration was intentional, lol.

ScribeOfRhapsody Somnus, like Ardyn, Aera and all the other characters, was just a pawn of the Astrals: everyone has played along with Bahamut, even unsuspected characters such as Aera. No one dared to oppose to Bahamut's will, possibly because people who have a deep understanding of the real nature of Eos (the Oracles and Somnus, who almost was in direct contact with Bahamut) know that everything is predetermined in this world and there is no room for rebellion, as Ardyn sadly realizes in the end of his own "Episode". Bahamut needed to use Ardyn too in his personal quest of purging Eos, and the questions that we all should ask ourself are not "who is evil and who is good", but "why do the Astrals (or Bahamut, at least) wanted to bring darkness on Eos?". Is it because of overpopulation, one of the causes perceived by Verstael as the origin of the violent spreading of the plague? Do they want to reform society in a way that please them more? Do they want to punish mankind for its past sins, the very same ones that drove Ifrit crazy (concept of Ancient Greek's hybris)? There is probably no answer. They are "gods", after all, and their motives and goals transcend human comprehension. However, it is better to ponder those questions instead of trying to view such a complex world in a simplistic way. That counts for our own reality, too! : ) Noctis went to his death without fully understanding how the things work on Eos. That was a blessing for him. I highly doubt he would have accepted Bahamut's deep ingerence in human affairs passively. He died without knowing, while Ardyn lived for 2000 years with the thought that his brother and his beloved had betrayed him. That is the main difference between the characters. Interestingly, Ignis may have been the only "good" character to attempt some kind of resistance to the gods' will. He tried to stop Noctis from continuing his journey and declared that the world has no meaning without him. In retrospect, that should be considered as the bravest action of the entire game, but I'm digressing. : )

Look, you could try to justify an asshole decision all you want, but come on... no one blamed all the astrals, just Bahamut, who was like: "You will either accept the suffering and die without happiness (andfor the greater goof...I mean good), or I will beat you to compliance..." You can sugarcoat that all you like, but that was basically Mr. Sword's attitude towards Ardyn the whole DLC. Hell, if you chose to oppose him, he summons the guy's dead lover to torture him. Now tell me that was for the benefit of mankind.

It's true that only Bahamut seemed to really want this fated story to happen with such callous disregard for humanity (Leviathan was just really, really angry, completely excuses wanting to murder everything she saw). As a result Bahamut does deserve most of the hate. But we can't forget that these gods aren't oblivious to each other's motivations, considering how they all know the Chosen King's story and do desire it to be completed in the end - Ifrit recognised a Caelum member almost immediately, despite being unconscious for some time before the house was even established (Solheim fell BEFORE House Caelum was a thing, don't forget), and then 2,000 years after the prophecy was created. Thus they at least had a good idea of what Bahamut had planned, and did nothing to stop him. I suppose they couldn't really fight him unless they all united against him though. Yes, another Astral War would be hell for Eos, but not even hinting to Noctis about the bigger picture, thus making him an oblivious pawn (something I don't wholly think is the case, considering the Pocket Edition's extra lines in the final fight) was a choice they all made, thus they all share a portion of the blame, besides just how they treat humanity anyway - Leviathan is just Leviathan, and Shiva wasn't exactly kind to humans before Ifrit helped them.

Better left forgotten A lot of people don’t get this (especially the Atheists) but the Old Testament was never meant to be taken literally as many Hebrew scholars have pointed out, it was a collection of stories written by different authors that were more allegorical and even then it’s debatable if nothing has been lost in translation (it was originally in the Hebrew language) and if it hasn’t been edited and corrupted over the millennia, particularly the parts about the angry and violent God. Bahamut in XV from what it looks is basically supposed to be Bhunivelze in the Fabula Nova Crystallis Mythos (before Tabata took over) who tried to slay the ACTUAL GOD Mwynn who is Bhunivelze’s mother, he is based off of the Demiurge.

At least they didn't go around banging *every single thing* that moves, unlike a certain Greek god

About Ardyn's hallucinations there wasn't really anything to explain, it's just the natural consequence of the 2000 years he spent alone without any form of stimuli, constantly tormented by his own thoughts and nightmares. There are actually studies that demonstrate how long periods of sensory deprivation bring the brain to produce visual and auditory hallucinations.
