I adore the section of music that plays at 3:00, 5:07 and 7:51. It reminds me of some heroic theme from old-school Final Fantasy.

I can kinda see it, with some of the threshold mechanics, but it’s way more like if Asuras Wrath, DMC, and even some others like Ys and KH all came together and made one hell of a crossover game.

Everything so far looks incredible. The combat reminds me of DMC mixed with summoner from ffxiv, it’s gonna be a lot of fun to play around with. Yoshi p and his team have exceeded my already high expectations.

Now this is how you do a preview video! Great gameplay that is very fun to watch and extremely engaging, rather than popping to a different scene every two seconds. And vital to taking this video to the next level, beyond being simply entertaining, is all the great gameplay breakdown and lore discussion! I’m subscribed to PlayStation Access, but their video is quite disappointing. They basically say “It looks cool” half a dozen times and point out incredibly common information like…You don’t need to have played other Final Fantasies to play this one. I am deeply excited for this game! Thanks in part to videos like this one and Skill-Up’s. Both an absolute pleasure to watch!

Now I’ve never played much of Final Fantasy 14, but I’ve always heard good things about it… especially after how it was reworked and then became one of the best and most popular MMO’s on the market! And both of us and many others know that Final Fantasy 16 is going to have gameplay and a story that are both an absolute blast to dive into! Besides Final Fantasy 7R, I haven’t been this excited for a Final Fantasy game in many years! 😁🤙🏼

This game is like if capcom and square enix have fused. combat of devil may cry, main protag name clive rosfield sounding kinda close to chris redfield, main protag kinda looking like netflix’s dragon’s dogma main character, and the world building of freaking final fantasy! F*cking can’t love this game even more than that! as a fan of capcom and square enix, this will be my game of the year. It’s always been a dream to see these two legendary video game companies create masterpieces together.

Yup! Or pretty much like Eren from Attack On Titan, eating other titans to steal their powers. In this case, Clive seems to just absorb their abilities without necessary munching haha.

@@unlimited971 That seems to be what we’ll have to wait to find out. Albeit this was put together for a gameplay reveal. It’s been said that this showed abilities that Clive might not really have at this point in the game.

@@unlimited971 this was just a demo representation as a showcase of a range of abilities. I heard they are implementing a hard mode too. I guess similar to FFVII:R where you had NG+ and keep all the materia. So, in FFXVI's case, you'd transfer your Eikons over to New Game plus mode.

This game was written along side withe the English translator koji fox. He then took the script translated and they made the English version first and then the Japanese performances were made based on the English performances and everything was of course translated back into Japanese.

You can actually see Clive using bahamuts power in the revenge trailer for a mere moment and you definitely see bahamut himself fighting Odin in the dominance trailer. You even see little bits of the ifrit vs bahamut boss that will happen eventually in the dominance and ambition trailers

It's been said that they'll be more difficult as the game goes on. Apparently this is how it is in the "beginning" of the game. I'd give sources, but it's been said in a few places. I don't have anything exact at the moment though. Sorry. EDIT: of course, don't take my word as gospel.

this battle got me pumped, I'm glad and hope most boss battles are long, she was obviously a major boss, I'm glad she had a second form, keep the action going. The battle system for me personally reminds me of Kingdom Hearts actually, since this has reaction commands during battles, also similar to FF13-2 they had commands as well to dodge or whatever. Super excited for this.
