Hey everyone! Based on some feedback if you are having troubles scoring against bosses or beating them fast enough or later stages swap out deluge or aerial blast for giga flare.

Your guide really helped me craft a build, I got a top 50 score. Such a helpful video. I used Phoenix/Garud/Ultima. Abyssal tear, thunderstorm, rift slip, ice age, aerial blast, satellite. Sometimes switching in gouge and will o wykes depending on # of enemies

Abyssal Tear is a top tier skill I got the S ranks with Wykes, Abyssal Tear, Scarlet Cyclone, Thunderstorm, Rift Slip and Mesmerize with Phoenix, Shiva and Garuda. To me, the first circle with the goblins, wolves and chimera is always the hardest to S rank lol

Glad to see Will-o-wyks, its pretty useful for staying alive and despite being only 2 star for stagger, the sheer number of hits does add up and helps a fair bit.

My build for this was: (Titan) - Rift Slip, Tsunami (Ramuh) - Deluge, Earthen Fury (Garuda) - Windup, Gigaflare Detonating a full Blind Justice in the middle of a Deluge absolutely melts through stagger bars.

This build is extremely helpful. The only circle that has been giving me problems so far is the 13th, the one with all the ogres and the two wizards in the back. I always try to pull them in the air using Garuda, but those two assholes keep casting Protect on all the whole bunch and prevent me from doing so.

Great guide! I never thought about aerial blast as a good scoring skill until your guide! It's just so annoying to work around it due to visibility issues. What other skills do you think are getting less love in arcade/kairos mode thats underrated for scoring?

This is the best guide I've seen so far. It might sound like a stupid question, but how important is using Torgal in battle? I've occasionally gotten an S rank from level one and two, but my problem has been using Torgal and dodging.

It’s not that important in general, but he helps maintain and build the technical bonus meter while dealing little damage so he makes things easier but not mandatory

If you have the spare boon points, technical torgal is nice. You can use burning blade and then time Torgal, which will still give you the benefit of keeping the tech gauge from decreasing. For bosses I like it.

Is this fine for barnabas and and the secret boss. I cant get an S on barnabas so im thinking of just replacing deluge with gigaflare to do enough damage on time

You can definitely do that. Giga flare on the last 5 circles is super viable. Aerial blast is probably the move you want to swap out more unless you just like it’s utility. Aerial blast doesn’t do much scoring against single enemies

I only got S on the 1, 3, 4 circle I stopped at the 7th cause I had to leave but I was using a busted build with straight ults (Tsunami, Gigaflare, Voice of God, Demise, lightning Rod, and some last thing 😂 but Ig I was doing it wrong

Everywhere I look it says stagger is up to a max of 1.50x and that’s where I’ve always got it. No video or tutorial ever explains how it goes past that to 2.00x. Please someone tell me how. Is it the limit break?

why are you cancelling the vent with limit break? is there a hidden mechanic there?

Looks like it continues to shoot the water when you limit break* out of the animation lock. And maybe so that the cooldowns aren’t slower when the vent starts shooting

Yeah, pretty much that. Level up your multiplier, then stack as many hits as you can without killing the enemies, and lastly finish them off with an Eikonic Ability.

Yup. To get full S Rank you gota do all 20 in order. Meanwhile... I can't get above C rank on anything and can't get passed 4 or 5 gates 😢

Why not use Phoenix Shift instead of Arm of Darkness?

You can use whatever you want. I don’t use Phoenix shift since it doesn’t really help with scoring while arm of darkness is great for scoring with its parry and zan for finishing low health enemies.

does the secret boss get unlocked if I'm using cheat rings? currently testing it right now with timely focus but got stuck with Titan, though I don't want to keep trying if it doesn't work. UPDATE: I did it! It's possible!

Titan is probably the easiest of all the bosses

@@bignutty5180 yeah all the fights are not really hard at all, what makes Kairos gate hard is that it's a survival mode. Titan just has a lot of HP so I lost out on time(only got rank A at 4.3M pts) by not getting damage upgrades by the time I got to him

I got through the first three fields with s rank, but after that I hit a wall. I've also tried cheat rings, but still can't. During abilities, the dodge window does not appear, so the thing crashes there. Now the only thing that helps is to give up the game and move on to another game.

@@vihreamenninkainen4836 oh yeah it won't let you do an impossible dodge, you'll have to still actually play properly even with cheat rings

@@haruyukiar1ta you don’t need damage upgrades I didn’t upgrade damage till wave 18 you just have to keep maintaining your technical gauge and use your abilities right

Man I keep getting fucked in the ass by Barnabas and lose the whole run because of only getting A on him. Happened 3 times in a row today, I am so done lol. Can you suggest any good abilities for scoring against him? (no counters please) I am not sure if Deluge is worth using against bosses. They wont let you do it because they dont stagger when hit by it, right?

@@Swillo Did another one using Gigaflare, he died pretty quick but still only A. Got 5,4mil (whats the threshold?). Maybe it were too many damage boosts? (had +4 eikonic ability damage and +4 attack power)

Use Phoenix Garuda Shiva. My setup was pretty much the same except I used Impulse instead of deluge and rift slip instead of satellite. Spam torgal and limit breaks and spam rift slip as much as you can, especially with shiva or when you use the tornado attack

I am sorry but this is BS. I tried with all my might & I just can't seem to figure out what I am doing wrong. I sometimes will get an S rank & sometimes I wont even with the same tool that got me the S rank. I sometimes feel like I am being robbed of my S rankings because I know when I made enough to S rank & it is usually after I reached 2,600,000 or higher than that just to be safe. But whenever I go pass that amout & win the battle, I am instead given an A rank which is soo confusing to the point that it is demotivating to keep going if what I am doing works later than fails after even if I beat it in the time I should. Like what the actual heck? This feels like they did this in a way that nobodies guide can help them & the results in which Eikon you use will differ for everyone. I am this close to giving up because the requirement just to fight a secret boss is absurd & annoying compared to other games that didn't feel as bad like KH2FM did with it's post game aera. I know it's not KH2 but still they made us work to fight the data battle but they sure as hell didn't make us do some kind of requirement in that mob fight just to get in the GOA.

@@keybladewar22 it’s possibly because you’re not getting the best time bonus. Some stages have very long time bonuses and some have short so it’s good to check at the beginning of the stage to see how fast you have to clear it to get the time bonus. That is likely why you are seeing inconsistent ratings at the same point value. Also I agree with you that no guide is going to be perfect for this mode. They made it very strict in challenging in this regard and I tried to give the best pointers and insight I could in this video but a lot of it is in your hands and skill and efficiency as a player, I just tried my best to construct an easy set of strategies that worked for me.

@@Swillo Yeah, it worked that much is obvious & I thank you for that. I will use this method but trying to keep up with the games rules is super hard & I love a challenge but not one that feel stricted just to face the secret boss or refight him if the player wanted to which feels like a rehash of 0.2 secret boss where you fight mob fight just to have a chance to refight the secret boss again for funnies. Overall the guide should help for a while but like you said that is up to the player skill to find out how to get the best points. I like the normal melee aerial combo to build up the technical gauge which gave me a better understanding how it works instead of just using crowded controls at a low technical gauge.

OK so the trick is keeping the combo meter up and not killing enemies quickly. There is no time multiplier it appears.

There is time multiplier. When you finish a fight you get time bonus I, II, III. III will grant you a 1.5 multiplier, that is huge.
