I remember beating this game on arcade with another guy I had just met. He used this wire to bypass the coin mechanism so we had unlimited lives. Good ol days.

I'm 44 years old 2 teenage boys one 22 years old son and 2 year old grand daughter. Non of that stops me from playing my SNES. AND FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS I'M YOUNG AGAIN.

40 years old.. cant believe I bought the legit 2 player arcade version of this game for $1.99 for nintendo switch.. my kids are now playing my favorite arcade game of all time as much as they want on a 65 inch tv in our living room.. what a time to be alive..

When I was little, my father emulated this game on his PC, we spent hours playing it, without a doubt, a beautiful memory.

Never did beat this game. Remember how bad it was being a kid, at the arcade or pizza place. You would spend almost the entire time playing a game, so close to the end only to be forced by your mom to leave. The great days of stand up arcade.

My dad was the mayor of a small town in Oregon in the 1980s. I showed him this game, and he really liked it. He came to work one day like Mike Hagar and started punching people. He was arrested and of course lost his job.

The level of detailing in this game is utterly impressive. The story line is superb, character design is well thought of. I still enjoy this game (2019)

Just bought an arcade machine with this and all the main Street Fighter 2 games. When I was a kid in the 80s/ 90s these two were arguably the biggest games around and I dreamt of having an arcade in my home one day. Safe to say that’s one life goal achieved! 💪🏼

One of the main things I’ve always loved about Final Fight were the stage bosses. They’re some of the best in any beat em up game. All of them have a sense of character from their name all the way through their character design. A typical street punk with limited offense (Damnd), A Samurai with a nasty charging move that’s almost unblockable with a fetish sounding name (Sodom), a big burly street cop on the take and can eat through your health when he shoots his gun from across the screen (Edi.E), a mad army general on the take who likes to jump around and throw grenades at you (Rolento), a jacked wrestler looking dude with face paint and a feminine name (Abigail) and last but not least, the evil businessman and mad gear gang leader in a wheelchair with that annoying arrow gun (Belger). Now that’s how you design stage bosses and very few games measure up to the ones in the final fight💯

I loved this game! Back in the days when they still had arcades, my little brother and I pumped quarters by the handful into this game... Good times and fond memories.

There's something about the hits in this game that are just so satisfying.

The level of satisfaction of hitting people with that long pipe has yet to be replicated.

My dad is hanging out with a few buddies, they've got a few pitchers, they're playing pool, smoking cigarettes and playing Alice in Chains, Guns and Roses, RHCP etc.on the jukebox. My brother and I are eating cheese pizza, drinking Pepsi and playing Final Fight. A beautiful memory I'll never forget...

Oh my god!! I spent so much money on this game that one day me and my friend bought like 40 arcade coins so we could beat it it was legendary.

This was the arcade game I played the most, BY FAR. I loved it 'cause all the enemies could appear on the screen at once (unlike only 3 on the SNES version). It was so much better if there were 2 players, ahhhhh.......... memories.

I used to play this when I was a kid. I'm almost 40 years old. I don't know how this popped up in my recommend as I don't play video games. Glad it popped up. Brings back memories.

This is prob my favorite beat em up of all time and prob top 10 games of all time, remember I used to play it so much as a kid. One thing I like is how you can see the passing of time in the backgrounds, specially in the bay area stage (my favorite) where you start at night but at the end you see the sunrise, its like giving you the idea that these guys spent all night fighting through the mad gear gang, so amazing!

I love that Cody's uppercut makes that "Buh-BU!" sound. When I got the game on the SNES I was more gutted that sound was left out than about the 2 player mode, as dumb as that is looking back haha

Who came here after the release of Streets of Rage 4?

This legendary game was what the then highly popular beat em up genre became re-defined by as time went on, and left such an amazing impression for years to come. There were very few arcades which you couldn't find it in, and was almost everywhere. I'll never forget how psyched I was when I got the near arcade perfect port to it on Sega CD for Christmas in 95, which kept me busy for a long while! The sequels for SNES were all right, but nowhere near as impressive as the first Final Fight was, even if part 3 did have some interesting innovations here and there. Yet I do wonder why there never was a true arcade sequel to F.F. back in the day (despite all of the Final Fight clones that were based off of it being so abundant), which you would have thought was going to be a slam dunk, but didn't happen though?

Fact: Final Fight was planned to be Street Fighter 2 or Street Fighter '89 after Street Fighter first debut in 1987. But they cancel the plan for unknown reason and make the Final Fight as it own game series. In Street Fighter Alpha 3, two of the Final Fight character, Guy and Cody, makes his first debut in SF Alpha 3. Each of their Character Story and Outfit in SF Alpha 3 was small detail after Final Fight: Revenge.

I went to a bar a few weeks ago that had a bunch of arcade games you could play for free and final fight was one of them. I remember as a kid thinking this was the greatest game ever with the best graphics and gameplay, but now days it’s borderline unplayable. It’s crazy how things change.

We had a local Ames store I used to rock this at every other weekend. They had Castlevania, this, Double Dragon and eventually Street Fighter 2:Championship Edition. My grandmother of(at that time) 72 years old would pick Haggar, and could one quarter run just about the whole damn machine. We had some two player fun. She always hated the weapons, especially the knife throwing El gado's. "Use your hands, you cowards, don't hide behind your knives." Needless to say, my grandma was a beast and a half. Later on I got this as a Bday present from my aunt. My grandma convinced me to take it back and get the game I really, really wanted for the SNES much more... Super Castlevania IV. Again, I had such a kicka** grandmother. Hope that wasn't too boring to read. Take 'er easy.
