Bit of a random video, It's been years since I've played Kingdom Hearts 2 & I wanted to upload this Boss fight because Final Form Xenmas is my favorite Boss fight of all time & this was my first time ever beating a KH Game on Critical Mode xD

Square Enix: "Sora must be the one to deal the final blow to every boss." Riku: "OUTTA MY WAY!"

The laser deflection portion is my favorite moment in the entire series. This is the moment where I said “aaayyyeeeeee my boys ain’t playin!!!!”

Honestly they set the bar really fucking high for this final boss I still think this is the best final boss in the series.

The synergy between Sora and Riku in this fight is the ultimate payoff in the entire series and the ultimate relationship goals. They grew up together, they fought, they went their own ways for a bit. But they ultimately came together and consistently had each others’ backs in this ultimate final battle. You can see them visibly go harder when either of them is compromised at any point in this encounter, and it’s so apparent that aside from their goal to take down Xemnas, each others’ safety is a primary directive. I love this fight so much.

RIP X and triangle ;_; your sacrifice won´t be forgotten

I love the symbolism at 4:08. Riku’s Keyblade faces down, like its wielder who went down a dark path, and Sora’s facing up, someone who has clung to the light. Now working together to fight the Nothingness in between that threatens them both

Seeing Xemnas' final attack left my mouth agape like Sora's at that same moment. I never saw anything quite like it in an RPG and it has to be one of my favorite battles in any game.

I just love how this fight was like Sora needs Riku's help or they are doomed . Every moment Xemnas tries to take advantage of sora and Riku is like back the fuck up. Kh3 says Sora is weak and vulnerable now but never really shows it. While this is when Sora is like full power and Xemnas is beating his ass. I love Kh2

Greatest final boss fight so far in video game history! Being surrounded completely by lasers and deflecting them desperately like two anime characters was beyond genius. Finishing cinematic where Sora saves Riku and they both finish Xemnas was also pure genius. I have extremely high expectations for the final boss fight of Kingdom Hearts 3 for good reason.

I wanted to show people this boss fight and honestly the way you handled the fight shows a good representation of this fight and all of its glory and how much thought and planning took to do it so efficently.

This boss fight was so badass. Maybe not the most difficult of the series but definitely was my favorite.

There was nothing more satisfying than being a kid and beating Xemnas after the 100th time fighting him. It took EVERYTHING IN ME to beat him lol. Mainly for the reason I didn’t know you could add abilities to sora (Ik Ik). I basically beat Xemnas with an ability-less sora. This Final boss fight has to be one of the best Final Bosses ever, when you fought him, you could feel the lingering doom that waits for you if sora and riku isn’t able to beat him. Also the fact everyone you fought with is somewhere else and all you have is your long lost best friend who you now have to fight alongside, with all your heart. It gave somewhat of a comfort in the darkness that was all around you.

This final boss fight is vastly superior to Kingdom Hearts 3 final boss fight.

Holy frick.. this is unbelievably good. I’m speechless. Sora and Riku are incredible together, they’re in perfect sync.. like. Oh my god, especially when they were deflecting the lasers. This boss fight is a work of fricking art. It’s an actual masterpiece. And don’t even get me started on the music. It’s so beautiful and emotional.. I’ve seen a lot of boss fights, but this might be my new favourite. Not just because of how awesome it looks, but because of Sora and Riku’s friendship. I hope they’ll fight together again in Kingdom Hearts 4.

This is by far my favorite boss fight in any KH game. Music, cinematics, the fight itself, it's top tier. My best friend (with NO knowledge of KH) walked in on me fighting Xemnas, asking about the fight, Sora, and the game as a whole. He watched Sora and Riku deflecting the lasers and said "Shit..that's a power scale you need to see to believe. These guys are badass." I miss you, Dane.

Hands down the best villain in the saga. And, he downed peak Riku and Sora single handedly. Its just that in an act of desperation they managed to scrape a win against him. I feel they made Xemnas a jobber in 3D and KH3, since he was retconned back.

I have been marathoning the Kingdom Hearts games since they came to PC, and the fight against Xemnas was the most hype moment in this series so far. The cinematics during the final phase blew my mind. The fact that this was originally on Ps2 was incredible. It is a technical marvel for the Ps2 and few games can have moments nearly as epic as this boss.

The fact this came out on the ps2 17 years ago and still looks and PLAYS this good is a testament to just how amazing this game is. People still make combo videos and mods for this game to THIS day and has an active community for it The fact this was on a PS2 is a technical marvel. All of these cinematic moments and fluid combat must’ve been difficult to program on that console

these two have such great character arcs. Going from being secluded on an island fighting each other with wooden swords to taking on a master of darkness launching a barrage of ethereal blade laser beams at you and both are able to deflect every single one and perform combos in sync without a word of communication with each other. Perfect fucking teamwork. Reminds me of Naruto and Sasuke vs Momoshiki in the Boruto Movie.
