tough final for taisuke... So unfair. The judging system that year was just ass. Taisuke's endurance is not his strong point and he was made to do a few whole rounds more than menno. Taisuke going into finals right after his semifinals battle lmao... I'm spent after 3 rounds I can't imagine having to do 5 rounds after that....

And not just try them, but try them in succession. His flow is no joke. I usually have no idea where he's going next, and he never pauses or has filler moves to reset and recover. People love to shit on him, but he won this comp without dropping a single round to anyone. I think if there was a conspiracy, they'd try a little harder to disguise it, haha. He also is the only 2-comp. Undisputed winner. If you've ever seen him in person, you'll realize he's the real deal. I also find it kind of funny that people say he doesn't do power (same thing happens to Roxrite, even though he has mills, flares, and headspins for days). He just does unconventional power with fresh transitions, so it doesn't feel formulaic or repetitive.

But the important thing is the context xd. Menno had a lot of moves because Blond was robbed lmfao, and the judging system was simply wack and led to errors.

Taisuke crashed at the end of the 3rd round. He did his signatures and a bunch of conventional power. There was an absence of any footwork. I go with Menno for 3rd round.

I would give it to taisuke all the way, but if you consider how much he repeated the same power comb and even freezes and small variations, i must give it to menno..

Taisuke was the last to finish his semi final battle before the finals, so he only had about 5-10 minutes to rest before going up against menno. He also had to go 3 rounds against Wing and Cheerito.

I completely forgot to mention he was exhausted.

don't blame the judges, people just always want the mainstream bboys to always win. you are judged on your current condition and sets not based on your previous battles, mentality or if you're more "exhausted" than the other bboy. both held it down but conditioning is a part of bboying and menno had the better edge to perform especially at a WORLD competition. whose better to judge?

They were twice in 1v1 including a final at another event, Menno smoked him twice. Thesis is dope though, when it comes to threading he's easily 1 of the best in the world.

You're high. Not a single bboy in the original 1-2 (based on their skills then, obviously they've gotten better) would even challenge in a regional today. Just because you didn't like the outcome doesn't mean that this wasn't at a way higher level than many previous years. Hell, in Brazil, the dancers were dying in 110 degree heat under the spotlights and they had to dance more rounds. That final was downright ugly (even though Differ's an incredible bboy).
