Why are us “fans” not allowed to dislike her character? Anna did AMAZING and people should never harass her for playing a character, but the character herself? She’s annoying, petty, and selfish. A character being really annoying is harder to like than a character being evil like Walt was, because although you hate Walt you love to see him in every scene, where with skyler it can get pretty annoying. She can be very valid in the show with a lot the issues that happen, and she’s a very well written character, but I feel that people like you aren’t willing to see that her as a person has many annoying qualities, similar to Marie but Marie is more funny annoying whereas Skyler is more annoying annoying.

Rightfully so, hopefully! The first viewing, you kind of champion Walt's intelligence; given he's our main protagonist. On subsequent viewings, you assess all the surrounding characters more and realize just how much of an utter asshole Walt slowly becomes. As Mike rightfully acknowledges, Walt's pride and ego becomes blown up and ugly; to the point where the aggression driving him makes him really tedious, unpleasant company for others to surround themselves with. Walt believes he's ALWAYS in the right. I was rooting for Hank SO MUCH more on repeat watches.

Why do you feel anger towards the thoughts of strangers on a fictional character?
@NCProjectM Жыл бұрын
@@freebandz4332 because they sent death threats to the actress. Very not ok. Fueled by a ton of misogyny.
@NoisyMia Жыл бұрын
@@NCProjectM Yeah death threats to Anna are so not okay but also not surprising. A lot of women stay in relationships even when they’re not in love anymore, or when they’re being treated badly, because they cling to the idea that they have this perfect family, and will not let that go at all costs. Skyler strikes me as this type of character throughout the series, from her micromanaging of the finances in the pilot episode, to her pushing Walt to do chemo when he didn’t want to, to her unwillingness to turn Walt in for her fear of Junior finding out that his father is a criminal. I think a lot of people who hold more patriarchal views were too blinded by the machismo of Heisenberg in juxtaposition to the meekness of Walter to realize that Skyler was never meant to be portrayed as a perfect or innocent character. It’s just that her desire to control and contain, while it pales in comparison to the sociopathy that splits Walt in two, reminds people of the wishy-washiness that sometimes emerges when a woman wants a divorce but won’t fully come to terms with the fact that it means the marriage is beyond repair. The writers of the show didn’t do Skyler any favors in that area by bringing up arguments between Walt and Skyler over Walt’s access to the home and the children. Thankfully most men are not sociopaths and will not rise to the level of evil criminality that Walt did, either because their moral compass is too strong or they’re not intelligent enough or simply because they live in the real world where nobody is as lucky as a TV actor. But I bet a lot of average dudes let out a lot of pent-up rage against their exes by writing awful things to Anna.

Oh my God, I just noticed Walt briefly held Skyler's hand as he walked out of the room. 😞❤️ I don't think it was in the final cut of the episode but it might have been because of the different camera angle and his body blocked that tender moment between them. This is too gut wrenching to watch. I'm sobbing right now. So sad. What an amazing show this was. It's unrepeatable.

That scene I think is the greatest scene in all of breaking bad and better call saul. Someone so guilty and evil holding someone so innocent and cheerful. It's heartbreaking holly will have to grow up without a father for the first few years. And it's heartbreaking that she will have Walter's legacy following her wherever she goes. And people will judge her on that

I never got to see the show when it was new back then, so I bought it recently here on YT, and haven't stopped watching it since. I literally watch it EVERY DAY~ this show was, and still is, the BEST~ I really feel like I'm watching some sort of reality TV where someone just happened to film Walter White's life~ BRAVO❤🎉🥂💃

Aaron was visually emotional and trying his best to hold back the tears! This was definitely an emotional scenario, especially when knowing it's the final time Walter White see's his family. 😥😥😥

I didn’t like her much early on but Skyler really grew on me as her arc progressed. I liked that she got to show her smarts in later seasons and break free from Walt when shit got too real.
